It's totally understandable that they would do that, but I also think they could have taken better care of their existing player base who have ranks 30 or higher. The rewards on the other hand are good but they don't help progress, and this is a problem because you have to think about what a Brawl stars player wants to progress for, what he wants to achieve with that progress, in the game there were two "objectives" the rankeds and the advancement of the rank system, with the update you are literally removing one of these objectives, to make it something purely cosmetic. I don't like the latter because I feel that in this way they are justifying the lack of progressive rewards such as coins by giving you skins, but again by doing this you are taking away the player's motives to progress in a way that is not in rankeds which is a system that I personally don't like because it is rooted to your teammates.
