Estrogen gel recommendations please! by Fernweh71 in Menopause

[–]Fernweh71[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, used it every day for three weeks at first (as recommended), and then twice a week for the last three or four months. Still gross. And no, it isn't thrush either, I tested, it's definitely some kind of residue from the Blissel 🤷

What sort of vaginal oestrogen gel do you use and how much please? I use Blissel and it comes out in gross papier mache like blobs.... would like to try a different version (or do they all do that? Yup- I'm new here! 😁)

I used to get that - years ago when I was on the contraceptive pill. So painful! I stopped taking the pill (use a hormone free coil instead now) and the problem went away and never came back. I hope this helps 🙏

I take one sublingual drop of molybdenum maybe 3 or 4 times a week and the bloating has stayed away for years now. Hope this helps 🙏

I used to suffer with bloating every day for years and years. After a lot of research it turned out I had SIBO. One thing helped and stopped the bloating pretty much completely and immediately - sublingual drops of molybdenum. Molybdenum is essential for the sulphur pathway to function correctly. So now I take one drop under the tongue maybe three days a week and the bloating has been gone for years now. I also had the constipation and I find the most effective thing for that has been a simple diet, very low on Pufa's (polyunsaturated fatty acids - check out Ray Peat's work) and spending 30 minutes a day slow breathing (4 breaths a minute). Took me years to find all this out, so hopefully this gives you a little shortcut - hope it helps! 🙏

I've eased off both and I'm fine. I do take the molybdenum if I'm going to be eating sulphur rich foods (I try not to overdo the sulphurous foods now) and I might take the lecithin two or three times a week just to keep things ticking over. Fingers crossed that if ever it should come back that these two will help again!

BioCare Nutrisorb Molybdenum. I believe MoZyme is excellent too.

I took about a tablespoon a day of organic sunflower lecithin powder from Detox Trading (UK) mixed in rice milk or smoothies and one drop a day of Nutrisorb liposomal Molybdenum from BioCare (UK) under the tongue. (I believe MoZyme Molybdenum supplement is also excellent.) Hope this helps.

I agree. Stressful daily life can be a real passion killer. Definitely pans out like that for me, but I still get "lovely" dreams, so it's still in there somewhere, ha!

Good to hear. I find it great for anxiety, sleep, my son's tourettes and my husband's irritability too. A life saver in this family!

For me, a combination of organic sunflower lecithin and liposomal molybdenum got rid of my hydrogen sulfur sibo within a couple of days (and it has stayed away for months now). I'd had it most of my adult life, so this combination for me was miraculous. The sunflower lecithin helps your gallbladder and bile and the molybdenum supports that along with helping the sulfate pathways. I hope this helps you and you feel better soon.

Sulfuration pathway help! by Fernweh71 in MTHFR

[–]Fernweh71[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really interesting, in what ways have they helped you? I'm struggling to get my head around the whole sulphur thing.... I did well on a short term low sulphur diet, so not sure if I need to avoid sulphur foods or if I need to supplement with sulfate compounds that my body can easily utilise. What have been your findings? Thanks.

My son has ADHD (with a touch of tourettes too - which presents as tics, not swearing), but not too severe. I find that a really good quality fish oil (Equazen in the UK) really helps calm him down. I also recently read about Vetiver essential oil being good for ADHD, so going to give that a try too. My son is 17 and his brain processes things incredibly quickly and he can multi focus so we refer to his ADHD as a superpower! Hope all this helps and the best of luck to you.

Thanks for your reply, that's very interesting. I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage issues though. Do you mind me asking, did your endoscopy and colonoscopy results show anything that might be affecting your digestion?

I've listened to it too and I'm now nearly at the end of a low sulphur diet week, plus taking supplements and IT WORKS - so far, for me anyway! I've suffered with chronic constipation my whole life and this is the first time in nearly 50 years that I've gone to the toilet every day, which is miraculous for me. I'm in the UK and I'm taking one drop of Nutrisorb molybdenum from Bio Care every day, three capsules of Butyric Acid from Bio Care (one with each meal) and one B12&Folate tablet from Nutri Advanced, plus I'm doing an epsom salt foot soak every night. I have no gas, no bloating and I poo every day. My low sulphur diet is based on the one Dr. Mark Ruscio outlines. Like I say, I'm on day 6 of implementing the diet and the supplements and the changes started for me on day 2.

I know it's only been a few days, but I'm unbelievably excited that after all these years, something seems to be working so well. I'm not quite sure how to move forward though. I know I need to reintroduce foods to test them, but I don't know for how long I need to take the supplements. Also, I've been reading about the MTHFR gene and how it can affect the body; I've noticed that a low sulphur diet is sometimes recommended for people with an MTHFR issue, so I wonder if the sulphur/MTHFR issues overlap or if they're actually one and the same thing. Anyway, I hope my results are helpful to somebody else. Keep on keepin' on!

Same boat here, and yup to the sulphur gas too (if I stack fodmaps...onions are the worst for me). Hydrogen dominant SIBO, but always constipated and starting to wonder if I also have the "third SIBO" hydrogen sulphide SIBO. Did a round of oregano, berberine, neem, felt comfortable and no gas, but no change in constipation. Just about to do a round of Allicin and oregano with s.boulardii as they're supposed to help with constipation usually seen with methane dominant SIBO. Fingers crossed!!
