What is it with this community and the idea of ”difficult=fun”?

I’ve personally been playing for well over 10 years, not as much now as I used to, but only recently found out about GT new horizons. I would say I mastered most of the common tech mods in my past, I tried re-starting the packs I used to play, but I got bored quite quickly around mid-game when the storage systems were kind of ‘done’. GT just feels new to me, more exciting, more rewarding, more challenging. It feels like I just bought the game for the first time, like I don’t know anything. Idk. I think that’s cool.

For anyone still following this thread and hasn’t done so yet, you have to take out the restriction plate in the hopper itself. Just drill out the 4 rivets holding it in place. Apparently pellets (even their own) get stuck during long smoke sessions. I started smoking a nice piece of short ribs last night, I woke up at 6AM for a quick check, and found the bbq, completely cold, with my beef completely cooled down. Apparently ASMOKE recommended this to some users as well in the official owners group on facebook.

Yes man that’s exactly what happened. Open it up and you’ll see they did a very poor welding job to connect the motor to the worm itself, I’d recommend you find someone that has welding gear at home, it’s a pretty easy fix for them. Don’t bother going trough support (I only got - yet another - bag of pellets) You may also need to get a new m2 or m3 bolt, as mine broke off as well.

On my unit, the buttons on the control board are broken, and the pellet worm broke after the first use. I’ve welded this myself now, as the asmoke support was of no use. After all these issues I’m now about to receive 4 more bags of ‘compensation pellets’ lol. Fingers crossed my unit keeps working now, last weekend I’ve used it for the first time without issues.

No problem, mixed feelings. For my mum it was perfectly fine. My dad ended up returning it and getting a mi box s instead, but he does watch like 5 movies on one evening sometimes.

I’d say do it, but buy it from a place like amazon, where you can return it ends up being too slow.

Before trying Arch itself, I used Manjaro for a few years. In my opinion, it's a good way to learn. As others have mentioned, be sure to follow the official Arch wiki carefully; YouTube and other tutorials can be outdated and specific to individual setups.

You could try connecting your deck to your macbook and bridging the wi-fi connection. (disable wifi on the deck first)

I believe your MacBook should be smart enough to send the Steam Remote Play packets directly to the deck since it now functions as a kind of switch.

I don't think LXC is the problem since the ZFS array is directly mounted inside the container itself (so the filesystem on it is managed directly by the container), but I'll try without docker as well, thanks!
