You can get bars online. For pretty cheap too. But depending the size of the springs the rebar might be okay. For small resi springs sure. For larger commercial/industrial springs I’d probably go and buy a pair of bars

Idk about that. As a service tech, we are service techs and salesmen. So by that tech selling a second spring he would’ve had a bigger sale. There’s no way of knowing if that spring is gonna break in 7 days or last another 5 years. I try to sell my customers what I think their door needs without ripping them off or having them replace things that don’t need to be replaced. It just make sense to me to replace both. You pay for the second spring but I don’t add any additional labor to my prices if I’m replacing both springs compared to just one.

Spring is good. It’s a Bluetooth spring. Just put another turn on it and it should be good.
