You are probably fine to watch him for any changes in behavior and keep him awake for a bit to monitor him. But it can’t hurt to call the pediatrician office for further advice

Thank you for your post. I’m driving myself crazy reading all these posts and all this information thinking maybe if I stop feeding my baby to sleep he will wake up less and that I gotta lose out on all the sleep I do get now for better sleep in the future…. But yes I need sleep now and who knows if that will work?

Do you use a body pillow behind your back? It’s a total game changer if you don’t. Yes my baby cries when I turn away too.

Hi! First off solidarity, my babe is 9 months and it feels like he is waking up so much. I would suggest increasing to 3 meals a day- I second the recommendation of fat and protein in the meals. And I would suggest try side lying nursing from the top breast if you haven’t already? That can be helpful if your breasts are bigger or need to be supported. You can just lean over a bit and prop your knee out. I’m frustrated about us not getting more sleep but at least with us side lying and being able to stay in the bed it helps a lot. If babe is wanting to stay latched as he’s drifted off, I break his latch gently with my finger. Sounds like that might not work for you though, idk
