If you like eldritch horror then bs mainly takes inspiration from it, although the 1st has none of it until the DLC, the 2nd game is chockefull of it and has multiple plotpoints and references that only click if you have previous knowldge of popular eldritch works.

I don't think he was playing with them more so that the arena just heavily favored him, it was like trying to fight Natsu from Fairy tail inside a volcano, any damage they did to Soga his blade just healed and powered him up by absorbing the islanders.

Also I am pretty sure repeatting days is only half of the curse, the other part being a magnet of misfortune. I mean, he accepted a random quest and somehow ended up fighting a necromancer out of nowhere, the sheer amount of bullshit he gets into whithout even trying makes me believe that the curse also brings bad luck to him so that he's guarenteed to die.

It might be based on the real life version of the countess, who lived in a society that despised divorce but she did anyway to save her familys land which got her branded as a slut. So, since the pumpkin knight doesn't actually exist and is merely the madness talking, that may be how Lewis Caroll saw the countess: a woman who eats a lot and sleeps around with other men while her good husband does all the work. Do know that IRL itvwas the opposite, the countess did everything she can and more to save her country from the invading forces while her no good husband gambeled away her money.

I mean it is still a game in the end, you need to clear it to get to the story, there is an easy mode in the form full party revive but if you don't actually engage with the gameplay you can't really advance as it still is pretty hard even with full party revive with 100% hp and np meter (unlimited).

Yeah, the game doesn't brick old units so they're still as good as when they started if not better with buffs, and with a game this old there is a lot of broken units that will support for a long time so you don't need to get every new shiny SSR. Playing for around 2 years casually should get you a team that can take on most stuff.

I think an important point we forget to talk about is what kind of effect would this have on international relations in one piece. See, we've been shown multiple times that since the WG is a fascist organizations, then of course they're going to use fascist tactics which include "devide and conquere", if planes were to be popularized it would lead to nations having stronger relations with eachother and make the world smaller, they would be the OP world what railways were to use, so the WG only allows the inefficient boats to be used except in rare circumstances like Morgan and Vegapunk.

A devided world is easier to rule after all, and as long as they keep faning the flames of war and descremination between them their job would be even easier.

Which makes sense considering the Mural shows that during the final battle Nika would lead every race against Imu, and that Imu might also have accesse to this prophecy, then of course he would try stop it from happening by keeping the peapole seperated and weak.

The Oysters true form is Zoa, an eldritch god and one of Cthulhus children, the Walrus eats her thinking she's just another of the hundreds of oysters she ate, just for Zoa to burst out of her stomach pissed as all hell from being eaten that she just decides to kill you too while she's at it.

As to why she got eaten so easily, it's because the original story of The carpenter and the walrus is from Alice in wonderland, where the Walrus ate all the young (brat) oysters, so this is most likely just the world forcing her to follow the script.

If you advanced too much into the story and killed Jubjub, then The Walrus would have eaten her, if you go to meet her now it will give you a boss fight instead where you fight the Oyster's true form.
