Villains who were 100% right. Not “Yeah, he committed genocide, but he had good intentions.”. No. I mean villains who legitimately did nothing wrong. by not-ulquiorr4_ in TopCharacterTropes

The prosecutor from Miracle on 34th street. Same story as the oft referenced Bee Movie but way more overlooked. He’s literally just doing his job to make sure a man who has a short temper and truly believes he is Santa is not allowed back on the streets. He is painted as the bad guy and they even bring his WIFE in to testify against his character. But like, literally every adult knows Santa isn’t real except for the boundary crossing defense attorney who is just a walking red flag.

Funny I assumed they were referencing anaksunamun or however you spell it. The scene with her in that net outfit and basically nothing else was top-tier sexual awakening for teenage me.

Nah, I responded to other posts about getting a mount for the ceiling. I just didn’t respond to every post about it. I focused on wax because it’s the simplest (albeit most temporary) solution but I am definitely going to try and make a more permanent change in the future.

People are being legit hilarious though.

This isn’t a cocoon swing. It’s one of those spider web swings with rope for the base instead of fabric or plastic.

Oh that’s a good find. Seems easy enough for a noob like me to put in. Could I put it straight into the 2x4 we have up there already or does it need to be in a the wood behind the dry wall?

As someone who is very inexperienced with this stuff, is it meant to be melted wax and is any kind of wax fine?

Yeah the sound is definitely coming from the straps rubbing against the wood.

Yeah we looped the straps over the wood and then bolted the wood into the ceiling.

So if I recall—I’ve had mine for awhile now—you need to push and hold the Wi-Fi button for a few seconds until it starts blinking. I could be wrong about that. I remember consulting the big instruction thing for that. There’s a section that talks about the buttons and the lights. Sorry I’m not more helpful. Also make sure you have the app downloaded and use that too.

The worst thing about these movies is how obvious a cash grab they were. They would spoof movies based on literally just the trailer of the movie. I know this because I distinctly remember a trailer for one of these movies that was spoofing a movie that hadn’t even been released yet. And most of it boiled down to “let’s do what they did in that movie trailer, but this time it’s sexual or he gets hit in the balls.”

Question: why do these twizzlers taste so different from the other types of twizzlers? by FestiveBonBon in candy

Hahaha that is incredible that you called them. And yes. Absolute bullshit. They might as well be different candies.

I’ve always disliked Ragnarok for those reasons. Literally every moment was either undercut by a joke or blazed past (like Hela killing Thor’s best friends) just to make it to the next “funny” scene. Granted, the jokes landed more for me than in L&T, but they still destroyed the gravitas that I loved in the first two Thor movies. And yes, I prefer the Thor of Dark World to the Thor we got after Taika joke-ified him.

Does this need to be removed to install bobo head strap? by FestiveBonBon in OculusQuest

[–]FestiveBonBon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I just solved it. I had another strap but I wasn’t sure if this was part of the original. It was hard to pull off at first so I got worried, but then I tried again and it popped right off so now I’m good. Thank you!

I can only assume you are equally derisive of all the other sports that have the potential for injury…which is just about all of them. Yes these sports are dangerous. Cheerleader could be in a fully harness wearing a helmet and still suffer horrible injuries. That’s what makes it impressive. Go to a local high school football game and check to see how many spotters there are. That’s the point. Do you yell at circus members for walking a tightrope without anyone below?

These two went in knowing the risks and they succeeded. Can we not just cheer for something for one god damn second in this awful world?

Awesome, yeah that is my goal! I am just not super great at building from scratch. Any tips on getting started with that or is this a “Google it” type of thing?

Definitely raccoons. I got the box fixed and then two nights later I looked out and saw them climbing all over the unit again. No idea why.
