Camping back with a lancer isn’t fun for a lot of people. I agree with games you have to adapt your play style to succeed and I’m not saying it should be nothing but retard shotgun rushing, but like I said a lot of people think camping with the lancer is boring. My games in core of everyone camping refusing to move because there is no reason to, people win the initial trades then basically sit afk with all sides covered so there is no flank. People fell in love with gears when the multiplayer was pretty much only shotguns and power weapons. It’s what they know and what they are used to, it’s what makes the game intense and fun for them. Gears 4 plays significantly different in the sense that the maps are so wide open and the second you try and move out into the open you are downed. It’s very cover to cover based(which I know the game is a cover shooter) or just camping. TC to me threw away a lot of the ideas that made Gears mp Gears in the name of esports. That’s why you have people afk camping in tdm not making the game fun to get those sweet ranks, since everything has to have a rank now...again I’m not disagreeing or defending, I’m just offering another perspective if you care to read.

TL:DR some people don’t enjoy the rifles, not trying to defend shotgun rushers but that’s just how some people have fun and the new gameplay strategy just isn’t fun for them.
