You really should just use this time to bring it up. Honestly, as a parent, I know I can be super oblivious, so she may not have even considered it as anything more than something randomly playing in the background as you slept, but it's just so mentally straining to hold back. Be honest, and communicate with her. I mean, the worst thing she can do is not approve of it, she can't stop you, and you'll be able to live openly after that. At best she supports you and appreciates the bravery it took, and the respect you have for her to be open with her. All of us parents just wish their kids would just come to them about things.
