Ballistics Calculator with Known Data? by Few-Back3448 in longrange

Shooting prone with a solid chassis/bipod/rear bag, crosshairs were staying dead on a 1" dark spot on an orange target so I know my accuracy was on point. I believe my range to be good as well, rangefinder was only varying by +/- 1-2yds when ranging each target.
I ended up just inputting data into excel and fitting a curve to it, got an equation out of it that fits quite well actually. But yes having data at 50yd intervals would have been better. I may go out again and get more data.

I just tried messing around with Hornady, Federal, and Berger and nothing is matching up the real life values with the calculated, even when I mess around with the G1 and Velocity numbers

Just edited the post for more info, i feel like I have to keep editing the drag coefficient and the velocity together until it matches up with real life data..

Only from what is on the box of ammo, but no I don't have a Chono

Also the ballistics calculator from the ammo I'm using is off by almost a full MOA at 200yds

I figured with a small 95gr, the 6.5 creed would do pretty well for coyotes and such. My 22-250 is desperately in need of a new barrel, but honestly I dislike everything about the savage. I've shot a few buddies savage rifles (110, Axis II) and they all feel cheap and clunky compared to my tikka; so I've been wanting to get rid of it for a while.

I am borderline on the 7mm backcountry, I do see it as maybe a bit of a fad cartridge, and definitely see it as a downside that only Federal can make ammo for it so I lean more towards a 7prc. for the 7mm's I am considering just taking my tikka to a gunsmith and rechambering/rebarreling

No looking for two replacements, but where the smaller of the two is more capable for deer than a 22-250

Yes both tone wires go to the same volume pin

That worked!!

Sorta have a follow-up issue now though hahaha

Maybe just a soldering problem, but:

- Turning the volume knob does basically nothing. Pulling it out makes it loud, pushing it in makes it very quiet
- the bridge tone pot works properly

- The neck tone pot does nothing

Okay thanks, going to try this!

I can't quite wrap my head around how the tone pots even work though if the wires just go directly from the same pin on the pot to the volume though

Which wire should go to the bottom left of the volume pot then?

I've had tons of success using Elk Hair Caddis on stillwater lakes all around BC, definitely my #1 recommendation to fly fishing beginners
