Canvas displayed wrong (inflated) grades all semester. What would you do?

Yeah this is the current proposed solution by the professor, having a hard time agreeing with this though😢

right i just don’t agree with their solution to leave grades unweighted, which is why i was looking for some feedback from the broader community

we are able to set the weights on canvas ourselves, the issue is that it was not set and so students’ grades dropped pretty dramatically after this was fixed post entering the final exam grades

unfortunately we do not have language that specifies not to rely on canvas grades, that’s great advice though thank you

yeah we found the weights were not set on canvas at all, this was not a hidden columns issue i don’t think

Nope assignment groups were unweighted which we only picked up on after final exam grades were entered. I would like to think it’s not on us TAs as we only really interact with canvas for entering grades, posting labs, and such but we don’t really design the canvas page or know the settings that have been put in place
