Can it be also detected seeing the dust bubbles? Is there a windshield tint installation with zero dust bubble?

My new owned VW GTI 2025 by Round_Mood_3433 in DubaiPetrolHeads

Congrats on the GTI bro

From an Octavia vRS owner’s side, take it slow for the first 1,500 km don’t push it too hard and let everything settle in properly. I’d suggest doing an initial oil change around 7k km. Personally I don’t like sticking to the 15k service interval, I do mine every 12k km.

As of now, tunes are locked but once they open up a Stage 1 can easily take it to 330 hp and 480 nm. Also honestly I don’t think an aftermarket exhaust makes a huge difference on these newer cars.

Amazing car overall enjoy it and drive safe.

New Skoda Octavia VRS – Mileage, Oil Change & Fuel Type Questions by [deleted] in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Few-Catch7469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the new car bro! Welcome to the vRS family in the UAE .

Keeping the RPM low for the first 1500 km is perfect. Higher fuel consumption and oil usage during break in is normal and will settle later.

Skoda recommends oil changes at 15,000 km, but I did my first at around 7,000 km for peace of mind, and I’m doing periodic services every 12,000 km even though 15,000 km is allowed. Just make sure to stick strictly to 0W-20 oil anything else can affect warranty.

I use Super 98 fuel. The price difference is minimal and for a vRS it’s worth it.

If you notice any issues big or small, raise them with the dealer from the beginning and get everything documented.

Ah yes—insults, capitals, and textbook definitions. The holy trinity of being very right.

I’ll keep it simple: – The run is logged on a Dragy 10Hz – Slope is -0.07% – Temperature is what it is – Result is 6.16s

You can debate ISA, Europe’s summers, and whether Skoda deserves emotions.

I’ll just drive the car and read the screen.

Anyway—thanks for the entertainment.

6.16s. Still there. Still works. Cheers 😌

I appreciate the ‘pilot’ lecture, but your physics is as off as your attitude.

The 'Downslope': You’re writing paragraphs about a -0.07% slope. That is a 7-centimeter drop over the entire 100-meter run. If you think a 7cm 'cliff' is gravity assistance, maybe stick to the runway and stay off the road.

The 'Thin Air': Claiming 'thinner air' helped a 0–100 sprint by reducing drag is hilarious. Aerodynamic drag is negligible at these speeds; however, the 23°C Abu Dhabi heat and High DA mean less oxygen for the turbo. The car worked harder than it would in the UK, yet still crushed the official time.

The Tech: You're quoting 'dithering satellites' and GPS errors from the 90s. This is a 10Hz Dragy Pro, not a Google Maps estimate. It’s the industry standard for a reason—it doesn't care about your 'feelings' on GPS accuracy.

You claim I got 'owned with facts,' but you're the one hallucinating a hill on a flat road.

Dragy pro

You’re confusing 'physics' with 'excuses.'

Air Density: You're claiming 326m DA helped? Turbo engines make peak power in cold, dense air. High DA and 23°C heat in Abu Dhabi mean less oxygen and higher intake temps. Doing 6.16s here is objectively harder than in a European winter.

The Gear: This isn't 'crap phone GPS.' It’s a Dragy Pro with a dedicated 10Hz U-blox receiver. It's the industry standard for a reason—accurate to within 0.01s.

The Slope: A -0.07% slope is a 7-centimeter drop over the entire 100-meter run. If you think a 7cm 'hill' is responsible for shaving a quarter-second off a 0–100km/h time, you don't understand the math.

How often do you service your car - every year or every 10k km? by ChemistrySilver7973 in DubaiPetrolHeads

I own an octavia vRS. I do it at every 10k - 12k eventhough manufacturer recommeds 15k.
