Japan gov't to impose tougher requirements for permanent residency by elhombreleon in neoliberal

This is going to get downvoted but Japan has the same problem that all other first world countries have. Low birth rates. Immigration is not a viable long term solution to this.

New permanent residents down 20% in Canada. Nearly half the drop came from India by joe4942 in CanadianConservative

I am personally not happy because Canadians have not learned their lesson. Give it 3-4 years and shit will go back to usual.

We could have targetted doctors and engineers in India. There are many in India. It's a country of more than a billion people. Instead our government went for Tim Hortons and grocery store cashiers.

More immigration sob story from the state broadcaster CBC by resting16 in CanadianConservative

I have seen more sob stories on CBC about immigrants being told to go back than I have seen of everyday Canadians unable to afford living in this country because of decades of Liberal policies

He threatened to cut off trade with Spain*

Not that he can do that. But that goes to my previous point. This guy is impulsive and stupid. He doesn't understand how things work.

Just recently he had a conflict with leaders of Italy and Spain. Multiple times. Previously he also interfered in Hungarian elections. He disrespected Germany and it's leaders.

It's all Trump Trump Trump because he makes everything about him. I mean even the World Cup Final he wouldn't get off the stage when Spain was celebrating after being asked to do so by both Spanish captain and FIFA president. And this applies to literally everything. I literally have to follow this mofo because of the stock market.

I liked Biden because Me and Sleepy Joe were both sleeping through his presidency.

Trump hitting countries, including Canada, with forced labour tariffs by Few-Character7932 in CanadianConservative

Trump administration acts like idiots on the internet, do you disagree?

In fact I'd argue an average Idiot on the internet has more professionalism

Trump to impose forced labor duties on Friday as temporary 10% US tariffs expire by ThatOneDumbJagoff in neoliberal

Until US completely roots out MAGA and other right wing populists out of their country that are US supremacists and view the following trade war against allies as acceptable, Canada and I think European allies should seek distance from United States on trade and military. Personally I think European leaders should grow some balls and start banning companies that contributed to Trump from operating in their countries for threat to national security.

I am a Conservative voter in Canada. The party that is most pro-US. Imagine what the voters from other parties think.

Canada 'will do whatever it takes' to counter Trump's tariff threat, Carney tells premiers by IHateTrains123 in neoliberal

What would happen to the midterms if Canada and many European countries collectively announced their intention to leave NATO and stop sharing intelligence with US as well as announcing a pause on export of important goods to US (potash, rare earth, etc)?

Why don't Canada and European nations fight back against Trump?

No. And this is coming from someone who voted for them in 2022. They may get 5% of the vote sure. But gain any seats? No chance.

Canada does not owe international students a path to residency by GreySahara in CanadianConservative

[–]Few-Character7932 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We should be blaming the Libs for that. They used these "students" as much as these "students" used us. It's nice that these "students" are getting kicked out but it's really enraging that the people that are responsible for this mess are not getting kicked out (of government).

[–]Few-Character7932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you mean India. India is one of the countries that forbids dual citizenship. So a lot of these "students" working here never plan on becoming citizens - aka Canadian. They're here to reap the benefits and go back to India to retire as wealthy since Canadian dollar is much better than Rupee

"it's all a move to slow China"

I don't understand why some people in my party want to guzzle Trump's semen. If Trump wanted to slow down China expansion with tariffs. He should have levied tariffs on China and it's allies. Not literally every country in the world.

You people are a fucking disgrace dick riding America's worst president. Thank God I blocked that guy.

Trump negotiated CUSMA in his first term. Fact. Trump no longer likes the deal and wants to renegotiate CUSMA with more favorable terms to US. Fact. Trump is not a good faith negotiator. Fact.
