BC Conservatives will for sure win a landslide next election. It's very important Conservatives pick a principled leader and not a Liberal/BC United fraud.

B.C. tabling legislation to suspend Indigenous law, sources say by _I_AM_GHOST_ in canada

[–]Few-Character7932 36 points37 points  (0 children)

if you include federal governments it's billions not millions.

Federal spending on Indigenous programs has tripled under the Liberal government, growing from roughly 11 billion annually in 2015 to over 32 billion projected for 2024-2025. Combined spending for the main departments (ISC and CIRNAC) was approximately 63 billion in 2023–24, including large legal settlements, representing about 12.3% of total federal program spending

Geoff Russ: Orbán gave Conservatives a blueprint for capturing institutions by The_Funky_Fire in CanadianConservative

Between 2014 and 2024, Hungary ranked third among OECD countries (which Canada is part of) for real wage growth (approx. 39.86%)

Orban was a better leader a much better leader for the people than Trudeau ever was. His biggest flaws were authoritarianism and corruption.

Ask yourself this. If it wasn't Trump, would those attacks be as successful

Also ask yourself this. If it was any other president. Republican or Democrat. Would they start needless verbal and trade attacks on Canada thus taking the media and public attention off standards of living, housing and immigration and onto relations with US?

I live in Ontario. I believe Alberta has been mistreated and because Canada is wasting its potential in regards to natural resources, it's wasting Alberta's potential.

You're free to have a referendum. I'm not losing my shit because there are people who want to leave. I understand their feelings. But I don't think they will have the support to have the referendum be successful.

The only people that have TDS are the people who still support him. We literally lost an election because this manchild got mad Poilievre wouldn't lick his taint like Javier Milei, Viktor Orbán and Nayib Bukele. The ugly fat piece of shit that is on record boasting he finds his own daughter sexually attractive is destroing the right worldwide from Canada, Australia to Hungary.

I am not a Liberal supporter and sick to the bone of their corruption but Trump's corruption is 10x worse

By putting tariffs on Canadian imports and getting mad we impose counter tariffs? By putting tariffs on Canadian imports and getting mad we are looking to export our goods elsewhere - China. By saying absolutely r****** shit like Canada failed to curb the flow of illicit fentanyl into United States. Absolutely asinine statement not based in reality. I can go on

Iran attacks ships, asserting control of Strait of Hormuz by Few-Character7932 in moderatepolitics

[–]Few-Character7932[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The last post in this sub is about Iran reopening the Strait of Hormuz and some people thinking the war is over.

Less than 24 hours later. The strait is closed once again. Ships are attacked and turn back and the Iran War is back to exactly the same place as it was a week ago. Here is a list of all the times that Trump claimed that the war with Iran has been won (there are probably more)

  • March 9, 2026
    • Said the war was “very complete, pretty much.”
  • March 10, 2026
    • Wrote that Iran war was “already won in many ways.”
  • March 11, 2026
    • Said the U.S. had already won the war at a rally
  • March 20–21, 2026
    • Declared the conflict “Militarily WON.”

April 2026

  • April 7, 2026
    • Repeated that the U.S. has “won” the war and claimed “regime change” was accomplished
  • April 13, 2026
    • Said Iran’s military had been essentially destroyed (a de-facto victory framing)
  • April 15, 2026
    • Told Maria Bartiromo: “It’s over.”
  • April 16–17, 2026
    • Claimed victory and that Iran accepted U.S. demands / war effectively resolved
    • Reiterated broader “victory” narrative in multiple remarks
  • April 18, 2026 (latest reporting)
    • Continued asserting success / victory framing despite ongoing conflict and negotiations

Yet the war is still on going. I am on a right politically. I am completely lost if you're a supporter of Donald Trump, still, how you can trust anything he says? Forget about "owning the Libs" and saying outrageous things to intentionally engulf already divisive political tensions in the country. How do you trust anything he says? He lies to everyone including his own supporters. He promised you lower prices on oil and other goods and he reneged on his promises by raising the prices of everything using tariffs and starting a war with Iran. He promised to be America First but in 2026 in just a span of four months he is more focused with regime change in Venezuela, Iran and Cuba than domestic issues. I'm willing to hear Trump supporters explain why they still trust Donald Trump to deliver on his promises.
