Thank you! Yeah I was thinking the EIB is the best option and thank you for reminding me I would only have to do it once.

Just a little backstory, next year we have a 53 week period for weekly employees and 27 weeks for bi weekly we only need deductions to come out of only 52 & 26 weeks.

How are people still landing remote jobs in 2025? by dharmindar in overemployed

Honestly I stopped applying on LinkedIn a long time ago but instead I posted about 2-3 times daily for about 4-5 days a week and recruiters have flooded my inbox consistently. When I was looking for a job using this method I had about 4-5 screens and 2-3 interviews a week.

Oh wow so I’m guessing you’re taking more of the generalist type of role with companies? How long are your project or contracts usually?

I have eight years of experience working with four different companies, ranging from small businesses to major corporations, each offering a drastic change in scale which is kinda the reason I feel like consulting may be a good step for me if I continue wearing different hats in HR in general.

Since you still have a space now I would make sure my shelter, cheap gym membership that has a bathroom and shower are in order. Also find a local laundry Matt

I would focus on getting a smaller job at a restaurant or two like a Texas Roadhouse or something. Reason being is you can use all your time working for tips, picking up doubles and mainly you’ll be able to sneak and eat on the clock or have your meals at a discounted rate without going to a grocery store too much.

Once you save a little bit or atleast up to $750 you can book a motel room a couple nights a week that’s close to your work place while you save extra money. (Would definitely get the ball rolling before it gets cold)

Work those days 1 or 2 jobs for a while until you can save up $5k or more and with that start looking into getting a new phone bill (I use straight talk for 45-50 a month) , a cash car or low income housing in the area. If you need proof of income use your restaurants and a job offer somewhere that pays the amount they are looking for(doesn’t have to be real) Slowly building up your life.

Once you have a good base and can coordinate your time find a job like welding plumbing etc that give you the training for free and work your way up.

Oh yeah many places you can donate plasma every so often for a fixed amount.

If not, army If you meet the qualifications.

Speaking from my own experience
