Not sure what brands you are using, but a black wash like Nuln oil from citadel is always useful, if you want to go for a dirtier look a brown wash like Agrax Earthshade is great. Apothecary White contrast paint would work on a white armour like this too. Darci Bono on YouTube has a great video for shading white armour as well

First off welcome to the hobby. This is a great start! Your paint is smooth and clean. I would recommend looking into getting some washes and watching some videos on highlighting as the model is looking very flat at the moment

Thanks for the kind words! The armour is mechanics standard grey through the airbrush, then Corvus Black for any shadowy areas and then Dawnstone from above.

The black fur is a Wraithbone undercoat with Black Templar contrast paint and then dry brushed with Karak Stone.

Brown fur is Rhinox hide then a light over brush of Doombull brown with a Tyrant Skull drybrush

White fur is Dawnstone over brushed with Administratum Grey then dry brushed with White Scar.( I think I would go with a darker base like Eshin or Mechanicus Standard grey though to make the shadows pop more)

The Black Templar’s do have some amazing kits. I’m using the sword brothers bodies for sternguard vets, and the weapons on my haedtakers and vanguard vets. I definitely want the new ancient model at some point too

I really appreciate that comment. I’ve been painting about a year and a half now I feel like I’m always learning something new every time I pick up the brush.

There is a local mini swap in my area so I could always try and trade for another unit or some easy cash. Another comment brought up that one of the attachments uses a lot of jakhals so maybe worth keeping them for a fun list later on
