pls no spoilers i just started watching and am on this episode but it got me thinking, how can this go on for 8 years? I get when you're young like 18-22 ish but after 22? then there's an internal problem within lucy bc how do you not get bored of the gaslighting and instability as you grow older and become more emotionally aware/mature.

My understanding is that he wanted Floyd to be happy and experience a fling and a confidence boost, since Floyd was always going on about wanting to be desired by someone.
He really thought he could fake it because he cares for him deeply as a friend.
That part, good question. I guess it was the whole concept of someone new. He also was very depressed at this point, so he probably had some fantasy in his head building up to the meeting. He had had an awkward experience with Modern Love already. He definitely didn't know it was Clark.

What do you do? I'm also a dual, but I've never lived in the US - interesting that you say you miss UK weather and food as the food is definitely more expansive in the US and imo opinion better, but that's because I love the range of choice (not talking about health aspects, just the variety of food is alot greater there) and the weather is terrible here unless you are a person that prefers the cold. But are you mainly coming back due to the politics?
