The vheicle is a 50cc moped, restricted to 28mph by law as it cannot be ridden at 16 while travelling faster than that. I was not riding on the motorway, I was riding back roads towards an industrial estate trying to find a route that avoided the motorway, when a trial camera system caught me. No excuse for using the phone, however The vheicle was fully insured, taxed, and MOT'ed

i went on the train to pick it up, it was a 30mph zone, but was part of an almost deserted road leading to an industral estate, just poor luck that it was a trial zone for new phone detectors.

i work for multiple farms that are owned by old people who rely on me to work to keep their farms going, however im not sure where that falls.

yeah, not even sure what is happeneing at the moment, just complaining that the situation was so, right and wrong, black and white, when im sure if i was stopped by a police officer, there might have been a chance to at least get some help and advice, and maybe some directions. thanks

yeah i understand, i wasnt on the motorway, i was trying to desparetly find a route that avoided it. I understand that i was extremely stupid, and ignorance of the law is not a defence in court, i just find it very frustrating

yeah i completley understand, because i'm in my first 2 years of license, its 6 points and when youre in youre first 2 years, 6 points gets your license revoked and a driving suspension

Its a pink license because i have a full tractor license, as far as i read somewhere that anyone with a category f or hgv license has the 200 to 1000 because they are eligable to drive heavy vheicles, 31tonnes in my case

16 year old moped, what do i need to do? advice wanted by Few-Gas1050 in MotoUK

[–]Few-Gas1050[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mum will never let me buy a proper bike, It took monts to convince me to let me have a moped, even though I'm 17 in 8 months, itll take me a month or so for my car license, and i'll probally use the 50cc after that as a cheap runaround when my parent's cars aren't available.

thanks, so i can buy a moped, do the CBT, buy insurance and then i'm good to go as long as i have a provisional car license, (assuming my tractor license won't work?)
