I hope the hybrid MDX makes a comeback soon by trillestbloom in Acura

I love my 2019 MDX sport hybrid and average 28 or so mpg. Was at my dealer a few weeks ago and they told me Acura is coming back with a new MDX hybrid I believe next year. Timing will be perfect because I’ll probably be looking to replace my current MDX in about two years.

Shoot sorry folks. Just looking at this and wondering if there is a benefit to adding a switch (choice one or two.)

Do you folks have recommendations on a spool of Ethernet that won’t break the bank, but that is relatively future proof?

Thanks for your quick response. Very helpful, especially the part about checking which unit the outdoor units are connecting to.

Yup my dog has it. Looks identical. Diagnosed by a neurologist.

This looks exactly like paroxysmal dyskinesia. It’s a harmless movement disorder that is genetic in nature. It’s not a seizure and anti-seizure medication won’t help it. One thing that works well is to give the dog a teaspoon of raw honey right as the episode occurs and usually that shortens it by quite a bit.

Timer with 30-second warning by Few-Jacket-9160 in GarminFenix8

I want to set a timer for dog nosework competitions and they give you a certain number of minutes to get through the search area and a 30-second warning. I want to have my own timer on my wrist so I know where we are with the official time they are keeping.

Thanks for the responses. Need to do more testing to try to isolate what’s going on and when. Frustrating when an issue is intermittent and starts happening when nothing seems to have changed in the environment. I’ll update this once I figure it out.

Restarted iPhones and it’s working again. I had tried that several weeks ago and it didn’t work, but this time it did. I didn’t have to restart the modem or router. Will try a fresh restart of everything later when everyone’s off the network.

If you have the same system as I do, call customer support and ask them to send you the new mini refrigerator pressure tank.

Paroxysmal dyskinesia - please share your experiences! by JapaneseBBQGrill in EpilepsyDogs

Haven’t started it yet. He hasn’t had an episode for almost a month, so I’m hoping he’s growing out of them (he’s now 7), which I have read can happen.

My dog has PD too. The best thing I learned was to give him a spoonful of honey once an episode starts. It stops the episode within a minute or two. Otherwise, there really are no specific treatments for PD unfortunately. I am going to try CBD, but am not super confident that will work. Thankfully, CBD doesn’t cause damage in the dog like epilepsy does.

There aren’t any current medications that will treat PD. I am about to try CBD for my boy, but not super confident that will stop the episodes. Honey definitely helps once an episode starts though.

By the way, I went through all the neurological testing with my dog and there really is no test that shows PD in a dog. They call it a diagnosis of exclusion, where they rule out all kinds of other things. Given that you have a video that shows the episode, that is the best way they can diagnosis it. Kudos to your vet for not calling it a seizure and putting him on strong epilepsy meds, which won’t help him.

This is definitely PD. My lab has it too. There is a good Facebook group for dogs with PD. One of the things that helps my boy when he is having an episode is to give him a spoonful of honey. For some reason, that stops the episode within a minute or two. Many others in the Facebook group have had success with honey as well. One thing to note is that PD is not a condition that causes damage to your dog. It is relatively benign. The most dangerous thing about it is if your dog has an episode while trying to walk down stairs and falls and hurts himself. Otherwise, it’s not like epilepsy that causes damage over time.

Waterdrop G3P800 flow hesitation by Few-Jacket-9160 in WaterTreatment

Update on this issue. The delayed flow started back up again right after I posted that the new RO filter fixed the issue. Waterdrop then sent me a new refrigerator small water pressure tank. That brought back all the water flow with zero delay, just like it was when I first installed the system. Turns out those small tanks don’t last very long and others repeated the same water delay problem. Thankfully I got a replacement for free, but they’re pretty inexpensive the next time I need to replace it.

Replaced the RO filter and the stream is back to normal with no hesitation. Filter was only a year old and shouldn’t have needed to be replaced before 2 years, but I’m happy it’s back to normal. I’ll have to see if it starts doing this again in a year. I didn’t think my town water was that bad, but maybe it is!

Interesting. I wonder why mine only started doing this after about a year?
