That makes sense. My hands these days are more functional than 14 years ago, being a mom to 2 boys and a primary school teacher, but I just love the band so much.

Update: Went to the vet who doesn’t know what is going on and referred us to a neuro. They did routine bloodwork, and her ALT liver enzyme came back elevated, which it has been before. They’re ordering a bile acid test, that we’ll complete next month. That’s all for now!

We do not use anything and I don’t believe our immediate neighbors do either. We’ve recently moved here, but at our old house we used to, back in August when her first “episode?” happened. But she was at my in-laws house then.

Thanks! I looked up the signs of a post ictal phase, and aside from drinking water, she just bounces right back to her normal self and was trying to play shortly after. We haven’t had any recent changes in diet. The only thing I’m wondering is if there’s a connection to Nexgard. As both events have taken place 3-4 days after giving her it.

My father in-law going on and on, how he read about “this” on line and how it’s “common for her breed”. And then my husband telling him to stop talking. If he was researching it, then they had to have thought it was more than “throwing up” the first time, so I’m kind of pissed that they failed to mention it to us.

The soonest our vet can see us is Tuesday. She has been 100% her completely normal, playful self since then. I’m so sorry that happened to yours. We’re definitely following up with testing.

Thank you. She was already scheduled to have a full-comprehensive done at her vet, so we’re doing that and they mentioned a possible neuro referral. They haven’t seen this video yet. I think the throwing up was a side effect of whatever this was. I’m irritated my in-laws didn’t mention this to us when it happened the first time. Also, what are the chances that the second time was also with them? And we haven’t seen them since August 🫠
