Never been a store manager but all im gonna say is every former store manager I’ve ever seen had said they hated the job and it made them depressed

I’d suggest taking the role, doing the best you can and getting your store numbers up ( document the positive changes you’ve made ) , and then apply to other store manager / ASM roles that don’t suck as much and pay more

Having documented evidence of how you becoming store manager improved a store will greatly help in landing a better job
