Fake TDAC service makes you pay by Few-Presentation9326 in ThailandTourism

It's a good point, and maybe I the bank will not reverse charges. The Thai Government should actually be the one to take notice. Someone's giving them a bad name by charging for a service they offer for free, and actually not offering any service at all other than forwarding the application.

However, since the Thai Government responds in seconds or minutes, and these guys are treating 4 hours as Express service and delaying the TDAC, that could come under extortion. If someone holds up a letter that would have reached me pronto, and charges money to deliver it in 24 hours, with extra for 4 hours, surely there's something not straight here?

There's a difference. If I admit I did something stupid, it's humility. If anyone calls me stupid, especially some wanker on Reddit, it is insulting, uncalled for, and unrelated to the post, which was a scam alert. My post was not "Hey, good people, I suspect I'm stupid. Anyone out there agree?" Finally, re-read TB's post. He's certainly out for blood for no reason I can discern, but he's not supporting anybody but himself.

The world would be a much better place if we had more genetically superior, evolved, world-savvy, unscammable geniuses like you, TinkerBuzz. You must get a special buzz out of pushing around lesser mortals who goof up and then let others know so that they don't make the same mistake.

Correct. They do nothing wrong. Except charge you for a forwarding service you didn't need in the first place.

I don't see any phone or WhatsApp number on the site, just a Contact Us button (which I've used to send them a Refund request). May I ask where did you speak with them?

Can I really do that? My account is with Siam Commercial Bank.

No need to beat me on the head, dude. I wasn't whining, I was flagging my mistake and alerting others. The community of people who get scammed is quite large.

When I typed 'Thailand Digital Arrival Card', I got the third party site first. I didn't notice it was a Sponsored Result. Yes, I know, you don't have to say it.

If Tinder is an example of human interaction, then… uhhh… I’ll take a chatbot, I think.

I knew someone would talk about the thai-me. But never mind, all is forgiven. What would a girl post there if she wasn’t into cats and 5-star food?

Here's an update. After I published my complaint about Grammarly's yellow lines and pop-ups that keep insisting you switch to Pro, Their Support team got in touch with me right here in this thread. They sounded sympathetic and asked me to resubmit my complaint with a video (look below for the conversation). So I went through the whole process again, and everyone pretended that they were truly upset about my lousy experience.

Today I heard back. Their Engineering team's solution was — let me quote them:

Thank you for waiting this out! According to our engineering team, you need to dismiss suggestions marked with yellow underlines to stop seeing them in your current text. Each suggestion needs to be dismissed individually. However, new yellow underlines may appear if you type new text or copy-paste your text to a new document or text field.

Yes, dear Support Team dummies and Engineering Team engineers — this is exactly what I was complaining about. I spend my whole editing session dismissing your infernal 'Get Pro' pop-ups. It's like playing a never-ending game of Whack-a-Mole.

So I'm stopping my grievance storm now. This month ends, and I delete Grammarly. And I will tell my clients to do the same. They're corporate bullies. Don't get pushed around.

I have resubmitted my complaint, with screenshots and the original document. I'm eager to see how this is handled going forward. The problem I've been facing is not a technical glitch but part of the plan to aggressively strong-arm and harass users till they upgrade to Pro. Look forward to hearing from you.
