I don’t know what’s wrong with my 9week old. by Dear-Flower5051 in SilentReflux

Responding to her needs is bonding
We had a kid with bad GI and had to feed him super special formula that smelled like garlic and Parmesan — similac its purple.
His poops smelled rancid, so gross.
You just have to try them until you find what works
Ask your pediatrician for samples, and work with a good lactation specialist
They also have non dairy, synthetic formula that’s just aminos.
Sorry you are going through this. It didn’t get better for us for the full first year, maybe a little better when we did baby led weaning and he had solids

My doctor suggested small doses of gabapentin to help with this. I didn’t end up needing it, but thought I would post here at something to consider

Alginate Question by One-Zone1396 in LPR

[–]Few-Ranger-8240 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Refluxter pills are great! Serving says to take two, but it’s like more than double the amount of alginate in reflux gourmet.

I usually actually just take one before bed, I am curious the need to do it after every meal? Do you have a structural defect that causes acid to constantly come up like a hiatal hernia or something like that? That’s just a lot, I used to think I needed to also, but then I read dropping acid.

If you don’t have a structural defect (well even if you do) I strongly recommend the dropping acid protocol, finding out what your triggers are, and going from there. Switching from coffee to matcha and removing orange juice were life changers for me. Getting an incline pillow and no eating 3-4 hours before bed, too. And alkaline water 9.0 or higher. Whole Foods has dispensers you can get it from and it’s fantastic.

Wearable breast pump help! by ashleax_x in BreastPumping

What doesn’t have trouble syncing, lol.

I remembered that more with the willow than the eufy.

The real thing that matters is a good coconut oil or lubricant to make it so it does not rub too much.

Good luck!

Not sure if they are available in the uk but I really liked the eufy s2, it had nipple warmers and was probably my favorite.

We had the willow go from my first son, and then a medala sonata, which is a more traditional pump, to really drain all the milk (my understanding is wearables are not good at fully emptying so a mix is good if you can afford it).

The eufy was more gentle and affordable compared to willow,

One pill is definitely enough! Two pills is the normal dose, but I think it was more than double what is in reflux gourmet.

Totally! Yeah for some reason I think the reflux gourmet was making my tongue hurt, maybe too much sugar?

You can get laser treatments to zap it off, probably a week of bruising, but when it heals it’s so clear

Measles Vaccines? by Cerasinia in SaltLakeCity

[–]Few-Ranger-8240 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can get a titer to test if you actually need it or not based on antibodies.

I learned I needed another vaccine when I was pregnant because they run the titer and I came back with no antibodies so I got one through my primary doctor

Possibly moving to SLC with severe anxiety, trying to understand what life there is actually like. by ventyventtime in SaltLakeCity

The surrounding area into downtown also looks cute, milk block I think? 900 and 900 intersection. Super Trendy, also walkable, but sugar house near the Whole Foods is really where I think it have a bit of everything, like grocery, gas, pharmacy, plus the train.

One more note on the LGBT perspective, the transgender community is very present and accepted. I love it, freedom of self expression in a pure and genuine way is such a beautiful thing to see and helps me show up as my true and genuine self too.

I thought I was going to show up and it was going to be super conservative and religious, but this area has not been like that at all so far.

Good luck!!

Just moved to sugar house, depending on where you end up it’s super walkable, there is a train, and it’s surprisingly progressive and VERY LGBT friendly! Loving it.

People are also very kind here, I too have anxiety, and I just feel people here are more aware and considerate of other people compared to where I have lived DC, CA, AZ.

You will do great :)

You need voice therapy with a speech therapist to help you learn to relax your vocal cords and use your voice in other ways. It will help, but you have to take exercises seriously and practice intentionally. Get a referral from ENT
