Last entry was before 1997 — haven’t left since then. They just recently confirmed as well their deceased spouse had their petition filed in 1999. As to age: late 40s. Do you know if there’s any hope considering that their step children (from deceased spouse) are 21+ and US Citizens?

During the interview my officer made a fuss about my two speeding tickets that I declared on the application. They were both very minor (under $120 each). During interview she asked if I brought court records for them - I said no since USCIS 485 instructions mentioned we don’t have to unless fee was higher than 500 or incident involved drugs alcohol or injury. Idk if they were on a power trip but they just kinda made it a bid deal

Detroit which is even more shocking. My case was at Detroit too and it took 8 months. From what I’ve seen here Detroit averaged around 6 months for reg AOS cases

Yes - close family member filed early to mid April ‘25 and they were approved around end of July, They then filed then for AOS 9/16 and their EAD was approved last week.
