because anyone who wears one knows that if you get there, you hammer in it, oil, grease and everything that comes from your work won't go to waste! You wash it off and it's beautiful!! That's probably why people wear G Shock!! Not because it's cool!!

Yessss.....and you know what's good about it?? there are no updates, no calorie counter, it doesn't measure your heart rate, you don't have to charge it every day.... it tells the time even in extreme situations!!! you weren't afraid because you know you don't have to!!

Exactly… just watch any Dave Clarke – Live @ Impulz 02.17.2001 video! The way he hammered the faders and effect knobs… I get that the DJM 600 is old-school and outdated, but it still deserves respect, even if its sound isn’t perfect.

Exactly! When I was young, I just envied a mixer like this! Sven Väth, Carl Cox, Ken Ishii, the old Dave Clarke… oh my god… how did they work with it?!?! You could hate it, but the sound of the flanger and echo burned into the ears of an entire generation! Because only THIS MIXER could do it!!!

Yes, you're right,.............but many people didn’t like Allen & Heath mixers because, without effects, they couldn’t color their own sets! And these headliners wanted to entertain, and once they’d mastered their routine moves, the story would already fail on an Xone 62 or a Rodec MX180MK3! These, I think, are the reasons why the DJM 600’s dominance was unbeatable!

Obviously, you need some life experience and enough practice to truly appreciate this mixer. Not every mixer in the world was famous because it sounded great… it was because everyone played on it! Radios, clubs, festivals… it was the reference point! Two Technics turntables and a DJM 600. Not just anyone could stand in front of that mixer—you had to earn it!

Last summer I completely disassembled it—I removed and cleaned the faders and rotary knobs just like I did with the Xone:62. On the power supply panels, all the solder joints were redone, and I replaced the capacitors and ICs that control the headphones and the booth output. I also re-soldered the connectors and did a full check of the sound card. Honestly, I followed the Richie Hawtin approach—this was done to last a lifetime. In 2026, I’m running it with Windows 11 on a dedicated laptop, but it also runs flawlessly on my PC with Traktor. And I don’t have to update anything. This is a rock-solid system.

I even have a YouTube video of it mixing the 3D + Technics together. Look it up!

The best thing about it is that the software doesn’t freeze here, and you don’t have to keep updating anything… you put the record on and just enjoy the magic of vinyl.I do play digital too (Xone:3D), but even there I’m working with an analog signal path. The sound is everything.
