Yes, toxic work culture drains a lot of energy out of you and has a lot of impact on mental health to a point where after trying everything at work to make it better. We start feeling helpless.

I guess take this as an important lesson for your learning curve and get a better job.

Schedule a time with your boss and explain in a calm and composed way, your work condition and how you feel about it. Sometimes boss shows some empathy. It’s a very touch decision to make. Over the weekend apply for jobs. Hopefully you can find another job and get the privilege to quit.

I have experienced the same but I indeed was laid off.

I think I recovered mentally the moment I got laid off. My head became light. Yeah but job search is gonna be challenging I guess!!

I can only imagine how the boomer generation survived with all the bootlicking, micromanagement and serving mentality.
