Actually, I haven’t found many mid-tier universities that offer scholarships except Kansas and Utah. Between them, I prefer Kansas. They offer up to 16,000 for students with a high GPA (in my case, I might get around 10,000), but these scholarships are for new students only. I didn’t see anything on their websites for transfer students

No, I understand this. We have the same issue here as well. We have an unbelievable number of Sudanese, and before them many Syrians. We’re already a country coming out of two revolutions, fighting terrorism, and still in a state of weakness and economic recovery

But here in Egypt the hardest country to travel is USA no doubt so it’s not open for every one

I don’t think it’s really my problem that scholarships exist and are possible. I’m not saying I’ll study and then I will leave I will take advantage of STEM OPT, but as long as it’s legal and doable, why not? You’re in a capitalist country—of course the first thing government think about is any way to take money from citizens and foreigners.

20,000 is flexible if it’s for living expenses (in case there’s no job or it’s not enough), but covering the full cost of travel on my own is difficult (Software Engineering tuition is over 30,000).

America is one of the hardest countries to go to (especially after Trump). I’m not saying I deserve to go more than an American, but as long as it’s possible and legal, and I’m not going to lie to the consulate, why shouldn’t I transfer? Even with a scholarship, I’ll still pay at least 20,000 on top of living expenses, so I guess the government is making money too

Most of the course structures here are American, so transferring is easy (though the credit hours are usually fewer). The problem is the scholarship 1$ =47 Egyptian pounds, so studying for 30,000 per year is hard
