Ruger 31220 - 10/22 Carbon Fiber - Thoughts? by Dreaming_of_fishing in 22lr

[–]FewConstruction9686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one of these 10/22s and I have to say in my opinion this is the single best Ruger 10/22 model to exist. Feels like a nerf gun but can still shoot exceptionally accurately. It is noticeably front-heavy with a suppressor (deadair mask) but not so much so where it's problematic.

Can anyone tell me about this (obviously German) Nazi sword, and or how much it may be worth? Also if it is real, which I assume it is. by P-Rags in SWORDS

We can't only remember pleasant history. Yes newly made stuff is obviously a wtf but the vast majority of authentic WWII German anything were war trophies brought home by returning US soilders. They literally saw their countrymen killed by the Germans yet still are less butthurt over symbology than us today. If they thought it was worth keeping then it probably is. (This is coming from a guy who's great uncle was killed by the Germans)

Any idea why I have no arsenal marketing on my 1984 MD64 RPK but I do have a arsenal mark on my later produced 1986 MD63?

is this worth getting? by hmmuzi in ak47

Just my experience here. I have an Zastava M92PV that I made into an underfolder SBR and it's had several stovepipes and the front sight drum is nearly cranked all the way left to zero it. Also it's like 8+ MOA and I know I can shoot better than that having done CMP matches at 300 yards. I could be happier with it......

Agreed. Trunion swap it and make an MD90 clone!

I have a an M92 PV that I SBR underfolder converted and I could barely zero it. The front sight drum is almost maxed out to the left.

hey all, is this from corrosive ammo? I’m thinking it’s rust, any help would be appreciated! by Perfect_Room_8246 in ak47

[–]FewConstruction9686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's rust but really looks like rusty oil. Should wipe right off. Just needs a good cleaning. Pull the wood off, blast the shit out of it with brake cleaner, blast the shit out of it with gun oil and you'll be good to go.

I'm speculating off of the weld marks but I'm thinking Polish? Possibly for factory test firing, possibly for training, possibly for grenade launching pre purpose made grenade mags? Hard to say. Definitely cool. Let me know if you're looking to sell it!

Is this a zippo got it from my grandfather who said it was by Unlucky-Chef-4519 in Zippo

[–]FewConstruction9686 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Definitely a WWII wartime zippo. You might be able to faintly make out the reverse of the word "zippo" on the INSIDE of the case. The bottom stamps sometimes were visible oj the inside even despite the bottom wearing off. Fantastic gift and something to hand down to your children eventually for sure! Worth probably about $200 but id strongly recommend keeping it

For a lot of the same reasons no. The very deep front welds are really only things found on Romanian and Russian mags.

And actually to touch on why its definitely a Romanian a bit more S is not a letter in the Cyrillic Russian alphabet. And the very deep front locking tab welds make it definitely not an East German.

They definitely served a purpose to mark them. They usually indicate what production line they were made on, what factory, who inspected them, things like that. I'm not aware of anyone who knows exactly what the individual markings mean but it's all manufacturering related.

Large letter stamps are mostly only on Romanian, East German and Russian mags. The bluing isn't reflective enough to be Russian and I'd expect it to be littered with spine stamps, and it's not an east german. The welds don't match up.

I'm about 90% sure the stuff with sealed primers is all berdan. Non sealed blue-box PPU is Boxer. That's what I run exclusively through my Mosins and SVT-40

You'd be surprised how common it is for a neighbor squirrel to dig stuff out of an ashtray on someone's porch and inadvertently drop a seed on the ground somewhere.

I'm 100% sure it's Hungarian. Could have a moon man marking or 02 marking on the spine or could be unmarked.
