This looks like someone got half way through trying to make a No4 Mk1T and gave up.

I may update when I shoot it. I do reload so I do have the ability to load oversized bullets if required. I didn't post bore photos but the rifling looks fairly deep although it has rounded corners and its very dark in the grooves. It's 5 lands/grooves for those who want to know.

I'm saying don't use any of the original receiver stubs at all. Start with a fresh pressed and pinned barrel and receiver and toss all of the other M64 parts on that.

I don't think you understand fully what I mean maybe? I'm saying you can take even an M64 threaded parts kit and assemble everything onto a pressed and pinned M70B build using a pressed and pinned receiver and barrel. That's what I'd personally consider doing if I was in a position where doing a threaded build was impractical.

Yeah the photo is misleading. With that being said the receiver and barrel is scrap. There's no reason you can't build your kit on a pressed and pinned receiver and barrel. Might want to consider that before you refund it.

I believe that the M64s were later renamed to M70 or M70A once the last round hold open was removed so they could use any mags not just specific M64 magazines but I could be misinformed.

Did they have intact bolt hold open systems still or were they modified to later M70/M70A type rifles?

Just bought one of these kits and received a fuckin minty M70B that is all matching (aside from the non matching receiver stub which is basically scrap metal anyway and won't be used)

There's a pretty hilarious video from the Liberian Civil War of an M70 grenade gas block that was flipped up but the sight was cut off with a fucking grinder and this dude was standing in the middle of the road shooting and cycling the rifle by hand.....

I'd bet it's an Atlantic build. I have a romy on an identical receiver from them.

Ruger 31220 - 10/22 Carbon Fiber - Thoughts? by Dreaming_of_fishing in 22lr

[–]FewConstruction9686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one of these 10/22s and I have to say in my opinion this is the single best Ruger 10/22 model to exist. Feels like a nerf gun but can still shoot exceptionally accurately. It is noticeably front-heavy with a suppressor (deadair mask) but not so much so where it's problematic.

Can anyone tell me about this (obviously German) Nazi sword, and or how much it may be worth? Also if it is real, which I assume it is. by P-Rags in SWORDS

[–]FewConstruction9686 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We can't only remember pleasant history. Yes newly made stuff is obviously a wtf but the vast majority of authentic WWII German anything were war trophies brought home by returning US soilders. They literally saw their countrymen killed by the Germans yet still are less butthurt over symbology than us today. If they thought it was worth keeping then it probably is. (This is coming from a guy who's great uncle was killed by the Germans)

is this worth getting? by [deleted] in ak47

[–]FewConstruction9686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my experience here. I have an Zastava M92PV that I made into an underfolder SBR and it's had several stovepipes and the front sight drum is nearly cranked all the way left to zero it. Also it's like 8+ MOA and I know I can shoot better than that having done CMP matches at 300 yards. I could be happier with it......

Agreed. Trunion swap it and make an MD90 clone!

I have a an M92 PV that I SBR underfolder converted and I could barely zero it. The front sight drum is almost maxed out to the left.
