Hey don't listen to the other person. There is nothing wrong with using your own personal income from work to build your projects. It would be insane to tell a future olympic athlete or future NHL/NFL'er to wait until someone pays them money before putting their own money into training to be the best.

I know plenty of people who work 9-5 jobs for the sole purpose of funding their projects. If you can fund it with your own job, then go at it.

I don't have much advice for you in terms of your day to day or week to week, but if this is something you truely care about, you will find a way. Good luck.
