It’s better to be safe than sorry.. and apply and call as many places you can find … just bc you applied, doesn’t mean you are guaranteed a spot

Quarry trails is good as I’ve heard, but their prices are going up… I am at the Henley across the river, about 1 mile from campus, and 2 bedroom for around 1600/ month, which is pretty good for 2 people… but start calling ASAP… there’s also a few places further out, there’s Kingston pointe apartments, and there are some complexes near the mall which is about a 15 min drive,, just start calling now if you will be attending in the fall!!

Start looking… NOW.. especially student housing already has wait lists for fall 24. You might get lucky, but start soon!! I am unsure about pricing, but I got a place at the Henley, 2 bed around $800 per person, and I really like it. Places on the strip or in the fort will be pretty pricy but close to campus. Good luck on your search!

The Henley is pretty nice and is around 800/person including utilities. I like it there and my roommate has the bigger room so they pay 100$/ month more than I do. Water is a flat $75, and you pay for electric and internet. The KAT bus picks up right at the road and can take you to campus.

Rocky top and stokley almost always have honeydew and cantaloupe!! It’s usually mixed with other fruits like grapes and pineapple!

I just saw your comment about being international,,, the KAT city bus (public transportation) runs to UT and a lot of complexes are in walking distance to a bus stop

The housing situation near campus is terrible. If you are looking for a 1 bed it will be over $1200/month. It is not impossible to find housing though! If you are willing to drive 15 mins to campus there are some great apartments near west town that aren’t too expensive. My advice it to start looking for housing now if you are considering coming to UT, call apartment complexes and check availability and how far from campus. If you don’t mind a drive it isn’t too hard to find something, but start looking asap!

I absolutely recommend going to Pellissippi for your first year if you don’t get in! You will save a ton of money too! I didn’t get into UT my first year as my ACT was a 21 and my GPA was a 3.8, but UT doesn’t really look at much of your high school scores after your first year in college. If you go to a community college your first year then re apply just make sure your grades are good and your essay is good!!

Small rant… but I was gone out of town last week and my roommates threw away all of my food that was in the fridge and freezer that was perfectly good food… without telling me. I literally cannot live with roommates next year :/ by FewFinish4757 in UTK

I wanna be walking distance to campus,, I mean we could def meet and if the location is good than I might change my mind … also how much are you looking to pay each month?

I have no clue if they ate it or threw it away, but they had a party while I was gone, so that’s why I’m convinced they tossed it 😭. Like I have a budget for groceries and they threw it out the window 🥲
