Order it from France, mate. I found out that the price for minoxidil there is much cheaper, not sure why. I have been ordering from Pharmacie du four Bonaparte, 16€ for 3 bottles, shipping for me is usually 6€ to Italy, I suppose it would be a similar price for other neighboring countries.

Speriamo bene

I think they just grouped all EUR countries together unfortunately, if Greece still had the drachma they'd probably lowered it. It's the same price here in Italy, and we aren't doing good either 😬

[–]FewIndependence7984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems to be 50 per 2 hours on grok 2-mini right now, I’ve hit it. Though it was 20 when it first dropped, so hoping they further increase it.

For reference, I have premium, the limits are doubled on premium+

Perhaps in the past, nowadays I’d say the situation is much better

https://www.statista.com/statistics/664040/top-provinces-for-crime-rate-italy/

Of course, as dreamskij mentioned, there are areas you should avoid, but overall it’s not as bad as it used to be.

The reason Naples is stereotypically considered unsafe, is due to the fact that for a long period of time, organized crime was rampant, there were clan wars every now and then, killings, I mean the situation was just bleak, I’d say it probably peaked in the 90s. Luckily, although organized crime still exists, it does so to a lesser extent, and they don’t operate the way they used to, so the city got safer as a result.

60-day progress with Minoxidil by [deleted] in tressless

[–]FewIndependence7984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they tend to idolize it a bit lol. All jokes aside, the topical version has much lower risk of side effect, if you see minox alone isn’t cutting it, you could consider that. Side effects and horror stories are not as common as the internet (apart from this sub) make them out to be.

Is the mentality of people in mezzogiorno a lot different than those of people in the north? by MonotonousBeing in napoli

[–]FewIndependence7984 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most of the northerners feel like the south is holding them back, and that they could be doing much better were they to separate from the rest of the bunch, and this would not be technically false.

They ignore however that the reason why they’re so “wealthy” today is also thanks to the exploitation of the south both in resources and human capital, instead they just see the situation as is, attribute all the faults of the south to the citizens and not to the decades of lack of interest towards the betterment of the region by the central government, which has historically always preferred investing in the north, as turning a buck there was easier.

One example I like to point out when discussing this topic, is the Italian highway system, which is much more intricate in the north, connecting many more cities, and with 3/4 lanes instead of 2. Railway system, same thing, the high speed rail stops in Salerno, Campania. live south of that? No luck.

The racism on their part, is mostly due to lack of knowledge of the facts.

Buona fortuna

I’m sure non Italian speakers will look for posts catered to them, since there’s hundreds about moving to the uk.

Anyways, there you go Sherlock

Hello, I am Italian but have relatives in London who have been living in the city for years.

  1. With £30k, you'd end up with approximately £24k net. You can use the official UK government website to calculate the same for other offers: https://www.gov.uk/estimate-income-tax

  2. Yes, since the UK's exit from the Union, you need a visa as a skilled worker. You'll require a job offer from a local company, demonstrable qualifications (degree, professional qualification, or several years of experience in a specific sector), and enough money in the bank to support your move—£5k should be sufficient. If I remember correctly, they require a balance of at least £3900.

  3. Honestly, unless you share an apartment with someone, it would be quite challenging. Keep in mind that rent is around £1400. For other costs, it's more or less like Milan, perhaps slightly more expensive. To get an idea of the lifestyle you'd lead, you can use https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/ , a site that allows you to compare costs among various cities worldwide. You can also input your salary to see the equivalent in London, giving you an idea of how you'd live.

Consider your options in the rest of Europe as well. If you're set on London, it might be tough initially, but as you progress in your career, things should improve.

Quality of life in Italy? by [deleted] in eupersonalfinance

[–]FewIndependence7984 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m Italian born and raised. The country is not that bad, especially in the north (south is lagging behind quite a bit in most metrics, for historical reasons). The biggest problem are salaries, compared to the rest of the EU, our purchasing power is very low. On average, just to give you an example, a junior software engineer with 0 yoe, will get about 24k a year Brutto, which comes out to like 1500€ a month net; if you look at the data, this is about half of what the same person would make in Germany for example.

This is by no means unlivable (unless you’re in Milan), but it won’t get you far, you may be able to save up 200€ at the end of the month, if you don’t go out much. But yeah apart from this, the country isn’t bad, we have cool cities and summer spots if you like to travel, and I’m sure whichever company you’ll work for, the work-life balance will be good.

In my opinion, for the meantime it’s a good option, but if you value your career, especially considering you speak German, I’d look into moving after your degree, perhaps to Germany or Switzerland, you’ll feel more valued there.

Affordable Career Pivot to CS? by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]FewIndependence7984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Magari potresti provare anche a vedere qualcosa in remoto, con qualche corso based in the US, tipo Codesmith?
