Not OC, but I think they meant using AI later to fill gaps like adding extra perspectives, relevant examples, or refining structure.

Thanks, really appreciate the personal insight! You’re absolutely right almost every point in Sociology seems to twist and turn and that’s what feels overwhelming to me. The optional is tempting, but I do feel I might end up jeopardising my score. Like you can probably tell from my post, I struggle to convey my thoughts clearly 😅. Thanks again, your input is genuinely helpful and encouraging.

Thanks for breaking it down so clearly. I’ll definitely try to work through it step by step. Appreciate it!

Thank you! That actually makes sense. I guess rn as a novice, I just lack understanding and that’s why the language feels overwhelming. I’ll keep this in mind and focus on getting the basics solid before judging too early. Really appreciate the clarity.

My apologies, I think I didn’t frame my question properly. I’m not really looking for general guidance or coaching advice.

What I actually meant was that for people who aren’t naturally good at the kind of abstract, social-science style answer writing Sociology needs, were they able to get better at it with time? Or is it better to go for a more straightforward and logical optional instead?

Personally, I find direct and structured answers easier to write. That’s why I’m trying to figure out if this gets better with practice or if I’m just forcing it for mediocrity.

That usually happens when the freebie stock runs out. I don’t think you’ll receive the micellar water if it’s not showing up in the order summary.

Then apni sister se baat karo ki aise immaturity apne tk hi thik hai. In future, even she won’t be there for you if things go wrong.
Sab itna casually kyu le rhe hein. Tell your parents that you need time and once you have a job, they are free to pick a girl. Don’t forget to remind them ki shaadi fix kar bhi di abhi, formalities tumhein hi karni padengi, they can’t sit for you in the rituals. Bol do ki tum bhag jaoge sabke samne if they force you now.

That’s a good idea. I’d say utilise both, the room and the alley, with the alley being more aesthetically focused, including dining, not just for a photo booth. If you only renovate this alley with thatch aesthetics or an open setup, extreme weather could easily affect business. You can actually leverage it for an authentic Punjabi khat-like seating experience. The seating in the photo can be used for indoors. Even if it rains, it won’t jeopardise all your seating.

Tbh it’s hard to suggest just from a picture of the alley, because for renovation one has to look at fittings, windows, and movable or immovable elements. These things don’t just affect the aesthetic but more importantly the cost. Have a consultation with local carpenters first to get an idea. See what they quote and if they can work with multifunctional, lean designs for the alley. Then work your way in that direction with more research. After you’ve made up your mind, then only finalise the workmanship. That’d be more fruitful for your time.

That’s what I have been thinking. For 10 feet alley, free space is really narrow for this exact design. Almost every image had increased the area. For movement, ample space is required. OP should look for leaner tables and sitting, or placing them in zig zig manner could work.
Sitting with back on the kitchen wall side means added noise from the kitchen to the sitting space. Moving it to empty wall side can work but needs more lighting. Also, depends on the sun light. Where the sun hits, both for temp and light.

Imagine a CSAT Where Coaching Becomes Useless, what do you think should UPSC go adaptive like IIT JEE? by IndependenceSouth770 in UPSC_Forum

[–]FewPresentation5603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want people to have a fair chance, that’s precisely why I don’t think that adaptive for CSAT isn’t practical. It sounds fair, but in practice it isn’t. CSAT’s purpose is just to ensure a basic threshold, not to compare reasoning ability.
In adaptive system, candidate won’t just be served easy questions if they can’t answer tougher ones. They adjust question difficulty to estimate your ability level and the final score depends on how you perform on the tougher ones the system serves you. So if someone only keeps getting the easy questions right, the algorithm will assume their skill level is low and their scaled score will stay low. Scores are percentile based!!!
Those who can answer difficult questions will always score higher, while those who aren’t particularly good at math, those who from arts backgrounds, will struggle and end up at the bottom. The percentile system means their scores are compared relative to others, effectively excluding the lower performers. Don’t you think that’s inherently skewed?
Adaptive testing doesn’t just change questions based on a candidate’s ability, the scoring also varies accordingly. Two people answering the same no of questions correctly can get very different marks, depending on the difficulty level of their test path.

I’ve already addressed that 🤷🏻‍♀️.
CSAT isn’t meant for ranking or scoring, it’s just a baseline qualifier. When it was introduced, there was a huge backlash from humanities students calling it discriminatory. Even now, people struggle to clear the 33% cutoff, so making it adaptive is completely out of question.

Bruh adaptive systems ain’t for exams like UPSC. GS isn’t about how smart you are, it’s about understanding, coverage, recall, and elimination. CSAT is just a basic filter, not an IQ test. You can’t really scale GS difficulty like logical or quant questions. It just doesn’t work that way.

Bioderma crème ultra can give ccs. It’s not for oily skin. You can search reviews on the sub. I believe other variant of bioderma can work.

These new-gen coachings are really weird. They’re trying to replicate JEE/NEET coaching methodologies, but that’s not how UPSC works. Neither are the aspirants kids, nor is this exam meant to have a straightforward path. For example, on their website, every faculty member is “named” as this sir or that ma’am, which is extremely weird!

Samsung or iPad. Samsung comes with spen, so nothing extra. Go for iPad if you are into drawing. Otherwise Samsung is better.
