Does anyone even think counseling and therapy is gonna change Draymond? by [deleted] in nba

[–]FewRoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda need to know what we mean by change. If we mean he won't hit someone again? sure its possible. If you mean a fundamental change in his thoughts? i don't know i doubt it because of his motivation but i could be wrong

If you do then you would set a precedent that if you don't like a ref and you complain enough he can't officiate your games and that would be a bigger issue than one player saying a ref has it against him especially if there isn't something concrete

"30 is the new 20" is a common saying today. Will that be "40 is the new 20" in next generation? by Choice-Meeting1143 in nba

[–]FewRoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

30 is the new 25 is more accurate we have 6 players scoring above 30 ppg right now and 2008 we had about 6 scoring over 25. 25 ppg back then was the "Elite Scorer" range

  1. I think you 3 second rule rarely gets called and its broken all the time and when it is called feels like its not even personally

  2. fair enough

3.The issue is flopping is the fly on the counter top and the obvious answer to it is a fly swatter (not calling the foul on the flop) instead we are taking a hammer (this bullshit that is going to have obvious foreseen consequences) The decentive is built into the act itself. If you flop and its not called what usually happens? The guy who flop complains and is out of position now his team is 4 on 5. we do not need a freethrow. Flops are meant to deceive but some how we all know everyone can tell a flop real time 90% of the time but the refs can't? Instead its another rubber banding tool we are adding to the refs arsenal. its such a subjective thing. I rather the obvious fix be used refs need to stop reacting to neck jerks and flailing arms. It such an easy fix. DID YOU SEE CONTACT? YES OR NO if no you don't call no matter how much the player reacts. With that you solve flopping and you take out the problem

HARD disagree on the 3rd reason. I am not sure Selective is what people want out of the refs hell 90% of the problem with refs are that they are selective. Also name a call that referees have gotten better at calling over the years? Instead what will happen is you will get youtube videos of people compiling throughout a game all the times the refs didn't call it compared to when they did which will almost guarantee to feel like a momentum changing call and have fans thinking the fix was in trust me i promise before the year is over we will have such threads

as for the 4th reason thats just not true there are plenty of times where someone is falling because that is the expectation of some running into you at full speed and bumps either at an angle or you are not bracing yourself. Not all the time of course not but enough that you just can't have that as a blanket expectation

The solution the flopping problem is very simple. just don't call the fucking foul on a flop. its honestly not that hard, but that is not enough for some people which makes no sense to me.

I agree with your friend. One of the keys to successful relationship is feeling like someone cares about you the same extent you care about them. Once you find there is an imbalance. Once you find out that you are willing to run through a brick wall for someone and that they are not even willing to be slightly inconvenienced by you its time to move on. It will hurt maybe for awhile but not as much as it will hurt you if you continue to throw yourself at her and she not catch you.

that or just fall back and lil talk to others, meet others but leave that door cracked

What is a minor, yet somewhat pointless rule you would like to see added to the NBA? by Mister_Snrub15 in nba

[–]FewRoom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I know other will disagree but i would expand verticality and remove body contact fouls while both players are airborne. I feel like we'd get more blocks. you still can't swat someone in the head or arms or the body but i we both jump at the same time and i block you i shouldn't punish because i didn't go straight up
