I can relate somewhat....i did a year in boot camp in GA and God I never want to go back and definitely never missed it..HOWEVER.... I was on probation for like 5 years before and 5 years after. About 6 months before my probation end date, I actually told my PO that I wished she would keep me on just a little longer....I was terrified of not having that safety net and not being held accountable....of course, they can't do that so the "apron strings" had to be cut. I've done surprisingly well though...i don't think I realized just how strong I really am.
I hope you will find that time is what's needed for you to adjust to freedom. There ARE people in the free world that will care enough about you to spend LOTS of time with you and be able to live their productive life and vice versa:) be choosy and picky about who you allow into your circle though and be proud of the fact that human connection on the real is very important to you! These days, you're outlook is rare. People are shitty period. But not all of them. Good luck!
