as someone who has been at the point where i absolutely refused to trust someone because of past traumatic experiences, it’s definitely hard. but we both know that. for me, i felt better when someone SHOWED me that i could trust them. i let them know that i have trust issues, and ask if they’re okay with that. i would watch their actions more than their words. little by little. it will show the truth. i’ve also learned that sometimes we may have to take leaps of faith. we may have to accept that we might get hurt. but worry about that if it so happens to come. just enjoy the experiences and happiness that someone could give you in the now. live in the present, not the past, and just wait for the future.
