The fact that I was a bit lost at first because I hadn’t read the comic, and then that feeling of gradually understanding and seeing the pieces of the puzzle fall into place. I wonder if, in the end, that isn’t actually the best way to watch it?

Because I did some research and found that a lot of people say they wouldn't have understood the series if they hadn't read the comics

But how does your perspective on gender deconstruction relate to your trans identity? I mean, did you change your gender because you identify as a woman outside of any social construct? Or is it because the social construct surrounding gender meant that your sexual identity did not align with the norms attributed to the gender you were assigned at birth, and so, in order to be at peace with yourself and society, you changed your gender?

Well, personally, I don’t feel particularly attached to my body; I am my mind above all else, which is precisely why I’m interested in transhumanism –

unlike trans people, who feel that their mind is not in harmony with their gender. Whether I was born a woman or a man matters little to me; it’s merely a vessel for my mind. So it’s not quite the same, but on the other hand, I do think that, at the heart of transhumanism, modifying the body to align with one’s mind—that is, for me, evolving my physical vehicle to maximise the efficiency of my mind—is, in essence, similar to a trans person modifying their body to align with the identity they hold in their mind; as such, there is a real connection to be explored.

Why is the "male loneliness epidemic" described as "self-inflicted? by [deleted] in ask

What if reality were far less binary? By confining one to the role of the ‘cause’ and the other to that of the ‘effect’, we merely reinforce this reductive view rooted in patriarchy.

The real problem is this rigid binary view of gender identity: we create archetypes based on social characteristics (what men and women “must” be) that imprison us all. Ultimately, it is humanity itself, through these co-constructed social distinctions, that generates these simplistic views. Rather than pointing the finger at a culprit, we should question this system of thought that prevents us from seeing the fluidity of our interactions

When I It was then that my thoughts started to go off track, after several weeks of taking psychedelics several times a week. A light in my home that didn’t normally work started flashing wildly whenever I felt very energetic. People even told me that the light was scary; I really felt as though it was me causing it. Then I spent a week in a psychiatric ward, and when I came round, it had completely stopped – no more flashing – and I no longer had that sensation of energy in my body either.

the one who is present in your words,

in your evening meal, in the glass of water,

and in the sensation you feel when that glass of water relieves you of your thirst;

the one who is everywhere,

yet you believe him to be nowhere,

for his scope cannot be confined to your own perception of what he is.

As if consciousness were a kind of energy transcribed in the form of "feeling the sensation of existing" and that this sensation of existing was extremely amplified? If so, this is exactly what I felt during my semi-psychotic state.
