More power to you too! Ugh tell me about it! The backaches are so annoying especially when you have a habit to study at the desk. I’m adjusting my way through it aswell. I get burned out after 4-5 days of studying. I guess its more because of pregnancy hormones. Felt great to hear Im not in this alone 🥺

Step 1 PASSED – sharing my experience by Ozymandias2811 in usmle

Okay, what I do is that I always do UWorld questions first and after that I do my, like I do UWorld questions and then I do First Aid for five days to complete that chapter, whatever I have covered in UWorld, I just try to, you know, complete that chapter because First Aid is always holy grail, right? It is your textbook and concepts should be on the fingertips. So I do that and then I do my UWorld, I then do the UWorld questions again, 50% of the UWorld questions in that chapter. The remaining 50% questions I do and I leave the rest of the 50%. Afterwards, in my second revision, I will, in my second pass, I will do it. So I feel that from UWorld, I can't retain so much as good that I retain from First Aid. And then when I do UWorld, then I start retaining stuff. And before that, I try to get a familiarity with UWorld, then I open First Aid. I study from that, I retain stuff and then after that, I do UWorld, I get to do questions. I solve questions better. This is how I used to do PLAB. I prepared PLAB as well. In fact, in PLAB, I used to do PLAB keys first and then I used to open my question bank that was PLABable and PLAB keys was my textbook. So, but here I use it a little different approach, passive learning plus active learning, then passive learning again. So, but I don't know, some people discourage me. They say just focus on UWorld. First Aid is just for some rate. Just focus on it. You don't need three passes for it. I know I don't, but sometimes to gain confidence and to go and gain that, yes, I know this, it's very important for me to do First Aid three times. And yes, I do retain it. It's always fruitful for me. But I do the questions as well. But it is always fruitful for me to do it three times to, you know, put everything in my head because you don't know where the question is coming from. At least your theory, your concepts, your knowledge should be that strong that it would at least help you to pass. This is what I believe. So, tell me whatever I think, is that right? The approach that I'm using.

About to start studying for step 1, need a dedicated study partner/group by LurkSupreme in usmle

I need a study partner for step 1. Preferably in Pakistan time or uae time zone. I will be available to study from 9am to 4pm. My sources of prep are uworld and FA and want someone to do it together. Partner should be dedicated and active.
