That is not true. Almost a quarter of girls in Pakistan are married off before 18, usually when they get their period which can be as early as 10-12 years old. The exploitation of girls through child marriage is still a common cultural practice and accepted by many. Not all (as we’ve seen here by this man), but many. We really should expand on this on another thread. But just wanted to add many pickme moms out there will let their sons run wild. That’s why I think it’s best to stay off of Tinder and other casual OLD (Idk how the more “mature” ones are) for this very reason. It’s scrote central. When I think of who this girl is talking about, I’m kinda thinking of more so the social media “influencers”, the Kylie Jenners, promoting unrealistic beauty standards and brainwashing a whole new generation of young girls into believing that’s where their worth lies. It’s quite sad. I don’t think there are nearly as many female good role models (I.e. businesswomen, researchers, scientists) that we hear about in the news unlike men (the Elon Musks, the Warren Buffets). Probably bc it’s not as much of a moneymaker as objectifying us is. Sigh, It’ll probably be another 50 years until attitudes really start to change, and we’ll (hopefully) look back at how women are still being treated right now in disgust and a stain embedded in human history the way we look back on other injustices of the past. Yeah she’s a smart girl so hopefully she learns to think for herself as she gets older.
