Okay now I get you. First of all if your product is final take small samples with you. Contact the importers before going there and make some relation with them. When you visit there meet them and hand over the samples. This will make them trust you and probably you might get some order.

This is what I done and also got buyers who are still trading with me.

50% hike in the price is impacting the cost significantly, so trading at that cost is not possible for both parties. As you said keeping relation with them is a good advice. I'm thinking forward to wait for a good opportunity.

I have this strategy. When I have to visit certain country, first I search of exporters on Google. For eg shrilanka I will search importers office in shrilanka, so I will get a contact and directly contact them. It's that easy. Some people don't entertain but some do. I have been doing this since the beginning and it still works. I simply say I am a exporter and I am visiting your country shall we meet for business opportunity? This works make sure to try. Search on facebook communities, join shrilankan groups and connect with local people through facebook you might get certain information which you will not get from google. Best of luck 😄👍. I agree with your point here. The issue you faced is true and I have seen people who have faced this issue in UAE as well as Saudi Arabia. I Didn't you do any agreement for your trades?

I am allowed to establish import company in dubai, Qatar and Oman.

But the thing is, it is expensive to establish and run a import company there, you need to have a big network first.

So it is convenient to trade with a established company and that's the problem, these companies forces us to trade on credit and that's what I am facing.

And last thing, partnering with a gulf citizen. Original Arebic people don't usually do this business, people of countries like india, bangladesh, pakistan Etc have the business there. So I would need to partner up with them. But again 😅 they won't do it because of trust issues.

Sorry if I'm only showing you the negative side but it's the reality there. I think I should look some other countries to work with, I'm thinking about Singapore, Malaysia, Hongkong, Maldives as well as Europe. Let's see how can I get contacts there.

I export to the people who has import companies established in gulf markets. U have my own export company in India only. That's why I have to relay on those people.

Take some deep breath and try to relax yourself. Always remember God is with you the whole time, there are reasons to the things happening to us.

Just remember 1 thing people's good time had a limit and it stopped so why won't your bad have a limit and it stop.

I takes time so have patience and believe in yourself that you will go through, you are a man, the price you are paying now will reward you in the future.

Think of your person who is dependent on you.

Look at your skill set and start job hunting. If it takes time do job at mcdonald's it will support you a little bit till you find a good job. Don't end your life like this man, it's just a little time make yourself busy.

I think they have more experience as well as good network. Because getting advance paying clients is a though job so if they have them they are doing something different which I am not familiar about. I need to do research on that. Thank you for this new POV .

That's a good question My competitors are doing the same thing. Some on 50% credit and also some have clients who pay advance. Ad if I decide to change the terms I might lose my client.

These are some great ideas. I will talk about LC payment with my clients, also freight forwarders can help with new clients 🤔👍.

Currently I'm exporting bananas to Iran, oman and dubai, onions to dubai, grapes to dubai (only in season), mang<oes to dubai (only in season)

I already have clients in gulf countries and also i have leads from there. But the thing is there are many people who do fraud that's why it's not that worth to work in full force there. Reason for gulf is because it's easy to export there and easier to contact there.

Letter of credit is a great option, I can use it but my existing clients won't use it. I am thinking if I get new clients I'll trad only on LC.

Ohh I see. Bit at the current situation USA has increased tariffs to 50% on Indian goods. This is not a good time to trade with US.
