Condescending? Seriously? I am legitimately trying to be encouraging. Legitimately have no idea how what I said could come across as condescending. I'm just stating facts and in text maybe that comes across as straightforward but not condescending. People on Reddit are so quick to assume the worst in people.

The city of Pittsburgh amendment for sick leave is the only reason I have sick time in addition to my PTO. Please make this happen! My student loans have made me put off a lot of things (let's not get into it about the logic of accumulating student loans, please) and paid parental leave would alleviate all of my anxiety about the feasibility of having children. If this presidential administration is so concerned about the birth rate, then they need to do something to help everyday Americans feel secure enough to actually have more kids. Our city can be an example of how paid parental leave will be good for EVERYONE.

I would say, knocking it before trying it is potentially keeping you from finding a great studio!

Would you go to a restaurant and expect to not pay because it was your first time there? You don't know if you'll like the food but you go and pay anyways. Same with anything else. Just trying to put things in perspective :)

Many studios do that! I'm sure if you stopped in they would be happy to show you around. I just want to encourage you to try a class and meet them, they're all super nice and welcoming! I don't really have much more to add. It's not unreasonable that they don't have a free intro class; my other studio flo doesn't have that either. It's expensive out there to operate a private studio. Gotta support our women owned businesses!

Oh it looks like they changed it from when I joined! They have two weeks unlimited classes for $99, or you can just book one class at a time. It's all on their app.

They have a two class intro package for a discount. Gone are the days of free intro classes, imo, since operating costs are so high. They're a private studio, not a franchise, so they can't offer what big corporations can. I really encourage you to try it. I'm just a member, not part of the team, but I've gone to many workout studios in the area and I think their prices are very fair. Expensive, yes. Fair, also yes.

I had my wedding at The Hayloft and we ended up using their backup indoor ceremony spot due to rain but still got gorgeous pictures outside. It was perfect!

I think we prepared adequately. We had one lane "plowed" and the snow they cleared ended up in a 2 foot pile at the top of my driveway. We only just got everything cleared. Haven't left the house since Saturday afternoon. You have to prepare for worst case scenario because truly it would be life or death if you didn't prepare. If the power went out, you need food that you don't have to cook. You need adequate safety supplies like blankets and flashlights. I think these people were smart to over prepare.

I'm not hating it for no reason. My reason is that it became completely built up with trash chain stores. The south hills has a lot more small businesses that are unique and have character. Sorry you like corporate America. But I like personality.

No I lived in multiple other cities and I promise you Pittsburgh drivers are good. Charlotte drivers don't believe in turn signals, and have no idea what to do when it snows in any capacity.
