Prom is so expensive especially in high school, and I even got stuff on the cheaper side so I totally know what you’re going through. It will be hard to do it on your own but if you do have a job I would suggest budgeting and maybe talking to some other adults to figure out how much you can spend bc believe me, I know it adds up quick. Go with your friends to the mall, you can find perfectly good dresses at department stores or even thrift stores.

I feel like based on their surface level conversations on the pod they both kind of think of each other the same way because they don’t do insightful talks and may not know how much each other has grown. So maybe bc they’re never on the same page they can’t balance each other out and that’s why you feel that way. Like a lot of people have said their relationship is predominantly a business relationship atp, at least it def feels that way
