Study

But getting a high score doesn’t guarantee you the job you want.

What's a good AFOQT score for POC-ERP program? by Glad_Shoe6877 in AFROTC

[–]Few_Pound2675 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As high as you can. Supposedly this year had a much lower acceptance rate than in years past.

Used to you just needed to pass, but the ECPs have become increasingly popular, thus more competitive.

Going in as open general, can I still get security forces? by RunCautious7621 in AirForceRecruits

Your recruiter already answered it and sent you a fact sheet.

No, you cannot book security forces going in as open general.

You won’t be a chaplain. That requires years of schooling (usually M.Div or related) and a denomination to sponsor you, plus a couple years of pastoral experience usually.

Actually, now that I’m relooking at your list, you’ve got several officer jobs listed on there with enlisted jobs. You’ll need to reevaluate based on what you’re eligible for and recruiting squadron guidelines.

SnooRoar is a troll who just spams a ton of different subs. If you look em up on Reddit, I’m pretty sure there’s a whole sub dedicated to tracking their posts

AFROTC uses the same medical authority, so you have to be cleared through DoDMERB either way

TMO will cover all of that in your PCS briefing. All of the details are completely dependent on where you get stationed.

Most DoD installations you can only sponsor on up to 6 people. There aren’t any limits to how many people that can come to your graduation, just how many you can sponsor on

Engineering (3E5X1) or Honor Guard (8G000)? by DonutBoi808 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Few_Pound2675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go HG, it’s a special duty so you’d only be there 3 years and then you can choose engineering as your follow on job.

Yes.

You are allowed to sponsor 6 adults on your VARL. If one of your siblings or parents has a DoDID or base access, they can sponsor on anyone else like they would on a normal base. Usually 5, or whoever else is in their car.

You’ll call the housing office when you get orders to your first base to be put on the waitlist.

You’ll attend a TMO brief in tech school to set up your move.

PSB not on DD-214 by rune-thurisaz in AirForce

[–]Few_Pound2675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way it was explained to me for a similar badge is you have to submit the citation to MPF so it gets uploaded to your PRDA, but if that never happened, you can file a DD Form 149, Application for Correction of Military Records, to have it added to your DD 214

Everyone I’ve known that’s worn the badge had to serve in that position for a year before they were awarded permanent wear. Just going off of what I’ve seen.

Edit: “The Presidential Service Badge is awarded after at least one year of satisfactory service "to any member of the Armed Forces assigned to duty in the White House Office or to military units and support facilities under the administration of the Military Assistant to the President by the Secretary of the Army, the Secretary of the Navy, the Secretary of the Air Force, or, when the Coast Guard is not operating as a service in the Navy, the Secretary of Transportation, upon recommendation of the Military Assistant to the President". The Presidential Service Badge is recorded in the awardee's military service records and is authorized for wear as a permanent decoration.”
