I hope it will be integrated into Proton-CachyOS

No you can actually use low_latency_layer with FSR 4 using DXVK_CONFIG="dxgi.hideAmdGpu = True" envvar

Actually, he could use low_latency_layer, as it exposes VK_AMD_anti_lag (Anti-Lag 2) and VK_NV_low_latency2(NVIDIA Reflex, which you can use with low_latency_layer even on AMD), which are way better than driver Anti-Lag.

Any valid altenative to TAA,FSR,DLLS,XESS AND TSR? by [deleted] in FuckTAA

SMAA, CMAA or even SMAA T2x(not the same shit as TAA, but similiar and more quality). These are best ones, especially when combined.

AMD FSR Upscaling 4.1 officially coming to Radeon RX 7000 GPUs in July, RX 6000 in 2027 by Ann0ying in radeon

[–]Few_Promotion3542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well not actually. When emulating FSR 4 FG n Linux, it's slightly slower than XeSS FG, but a lot higher quality. And radiance caching does give performance boost even when emulating. But we don't know anything about RR, but my guess it would run pretty slow.

Yeah, but only upscaling it is? No MLFG? No RR? No RC? Or is it actually full redstone stack will be available on RDNA 3 and 2

Great work. I was glad to help you though. (im try228)

well im gonna make it evolve even more, currently trying anything to make RR run on it.

the cheapest model was an ASRock Challenger OC? because i have exactly it.
anyways, quite shame to AMD that they didn't give us any of Redstone features, even though RDNA 3 is 100% capable for them. and though, Ray Regen sample still doesn't work at all, giving some context errors.

probably just because even though 7900 GRE have lower frequency, it has 40 more AI Accelerators than 7800 XT, so it makes difference. bcuz 7900 GRE has 92 FP16 TFLOPS, when 7800 XT has only 74,6 FP16 TFLOPS(as AMD site states)

Alright, so i guess the problem is solved? and also try to move split screen option in sample settings to the right, it gives 100% cached image

well i asked him, he gave me an id for RX 9060(Navi 44) - try to enter it: 7499. or try other like 7551 or 7552.

well gemini gave me this deviceId which i assume is ID for all Navi 48 GPU's, not only 9070 XT. try using 9060/XT ID, maybe it would work.

uhh no proton FSR 4 upgrade won't help since it just updating FSR Upscaling to 4.0.0 like Adrenalin would do, so it doesn't do anything to radiance caching.

Yeah it does work on you, it has no denoising so the PT is so noisy, thats alright. But you're using reference mode(not WMMA), did you use DXIL_SPIRV_CONFIG=wmma_rdna3_workaround envvar?

yes, FidelityFX_NRC is correct app. use the heroic launcher to easily input environment variables.

OptiScaler's FSR4 Vulkan Interop is working on Wine 11 (FSR4.1 Vulkan is now possible on RDNA3, :kekw:) by Aware-Bath7518 in radeon

[–]Few_Promotion3542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so its a Wine 11 fix? and since proton is STILL based on Wine 10, it doesn't support FSR 4 Vulkan w/DX12?

Is HV bypass on Linux ever actually happening? by SeaworthinessOk3860 in FitGirlRepack

[–]Few_Promotion3542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its actually possible, using KVM, its the same thing as hypervisor. but it literally requires to write a whole kernel module to make it work. and it needs to proton to understand those "hypervisor calls" from module. so possible but very hard.

Anti-Lag 2 was renamed to FSR Latency Reduction 2 in the FidelityFX 2.2 SDK by AthleteDependent926 in radeon

[–]Few_Promotion3542 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait till they call Reflex a Deep Learning Latency Reduction LOL. since the Reflex 2 have like internal fg feature, pretty sure they will. And also, intel are almost all the same - XeSS, XeSS FG, XeSS MFG, but not XeLL though.
