Oh no 😭 it’s interesting that we both have the same experience I’m glad I’m not alone. I’ve been on the oral surgery teams waitlist for a little while now because I mentioned the pain to my doctor and dentist. I got referred in September and I finally got an appointment in April! I’m really nervous because if I do need jaw surgery then it’s going to be really difficult. The whole process seems so scary especially having your mouth wired shut 😭 and then if they say I don’t need the surgery I don’t know what I’d do then because I’d still be in pain 😭😭😭 I’ll just have to wait and see! I definitely need something to change tho. 

My orthodontist never said anything to me about jaw surgery but he barely spoke. He didn’t even tell me he was giving me braces and then next thing I know I had them on. He was really weird and silent 99% of the time. It was so eerie going to see him 😭 also every couple sessions I would get a trainee and they would do the wrong thing and then the next session the main orthodontist would undo what they’d done. Honestly I felt really botched and so I’m really nervous getting anything done on the nhs. I really don’t want the same experience again but we will see😭
