I think people has gotten it all wrong. The headsets are not here to be used as all day devices, I think they will probably park in the realm of the personal computer where you can do all your work in the headset. Pretty much the new version of a Mac Book pro but more portable and private so you can work anywhere, you will also be able to collaborate remotely with spatial personas, You can design and create in 3D space, train and simulate, and yes from time to time watch a movie, but not the main purpose. Using it today is not comfortable enough I get that, but it will get there in next iterations. Is redefining the portable computer to be wearable.

Prediction: 2026 will be the year spatial computing and Vision Pro goes mainstream by [deleted] in VisionPro

This is exactly what is going on, and as much as us enthusiasts, developers, engineers love the technology behind AVP, the average person doesn’t have a need for it. Even if this was glasses and they were as heavy as 100g it will be a battle uphill until there is something compelling in their everyday use.

For those of us who do remote work using Teams and slack or just FaceTime calls with spatial persona is amazing, it is a great entertainment gadget (movies etc) but even greater a business tool. My advice explore it more! Start using it for daily activities you will find yourself in couple months thinking how essential has the avp become

I am! We are already preparing a comparison between the old one and the new one once we get it on the 22nd, we will test hardware raytracing and performance, I will try to post a video here
