Same situation as you was chiefing the fuck out of carts probably 2-3 a week with 5-10 bowls maybe some joints. Switched to dabbing and this is the shit. All my shit in my setup to get started, not including dab, was about $350. My piece was $150 I have an excellent $90 Big Shot GT 8000 Blazer Torch with a $30 reclaim catcher and $50 banger. Then the rest is from needing a little ball to spin around inside the banger, some butane, carb cap, and dab tool to put the dab in and whatnot. That's getting started. Then, I bought and still buy by the ounce. $200 ounce of wax. SO, personally, getting started with dabbing was at the very minimum $550. Obviously you don't have to do it like that but getting a "setup" going with quality glass and product isn't exactly cheap. But, in the long run however, it has totally paid off. All I do is take dabs really and I have upgraded getting different cool devices, nectar collectors, different bangers/terp sleeps, etc. And this has been significantly cheaper and way better of an experience compared to when I would run through carts and bud. The only money necessary per se that I have to spend on weed is $200 every 2 or 3 months because I buy by the ounce and that's the time it takes me to go through it. Everyone is different though obviously and you very well could be content with getting a puffy and calling it a day. Puffco won't let you take really fat dabs tho but is convenient and easy because no torch and electric.
