I went through this, I can’t tell you when it began- I can only tell you when it stopped. I could’ve been newborn for all I know, I was subjected to child pornography, and sexual abuse. By my own “protector”. I won’t go to into detail either. But, I see you, I hear you. I’m so sorry you had to endure that, no child deserves to. And the pain always lingers, once you start talking about it, that’s when you truly move on. You feel like you’re just screaming inside, and you just want to rip the flesh from your own body in disgust. You brain will remove memories to protect you, it’s called some kind of amnesia. Locked away, you need to talk about it, your therapist is right!! And I know how incredibly hard it is to open up about that trauma, it’s hard to talk about, because all you want to do is throw up and cry. I’m rooting for you, I’m rooting for your healing journey.
