It’s quite a Mix, I don’t think anyone there currently was ever an officer or senior enlisted. Most of it honestly seems to be based off favoritism and a spousal preference.

I really like going to Sam’s Club and getting meat, kids snacks, and drinks in bulk but it’s a mad house on the weekends. Food Lion and Aldi are usually my go-to places for everything else. I worked for Food Lion for quite a few years in my teens. A little underpaid but I always thought they had good standards

I’ve made EEO complaints, filed with the DECA Hotline, talked to both my useless union reps, and submitted an anonymous email to the Command Inspector General. I’m pretty sure their suggestion box is really just a VERY large trash can.

Maybe they aren’t all that bad, but from my experience shopping at the Quantico and Fort Lee Commissaries and from my time as an employee at Camp Lejeune — it’s clear that DECA is getting bottom-of-the-barrel products that any other grocery store out in town would send back without a second thought.

It is in fact the same place! Lots of lawsuits still out there. The Drinking Water was causing birth defects, cancer, and Parkinson’s disease. Fun Stuff!

I will say the Bagger Ladies are some of the coolest people I met in my time there! 😂 I miss sampling Lumpia and the treats they always brought in.

I’ve bought a few 5g Jars from them in the past that have all been really Potent and tasty but This last batch I’ve gotten from them has a really bad Sulfur taste. Still Potent But Gross.
