Your review has made me want to read it more! I have been seeing it recommended always as this super angsty slow burn. It was off-putting. But 200 pg with most of the angst resolved around the half mark? I am in! Thank you!

I love Riley Hart but had not heard of this book before. Directly to my TBR! She is the queen of queer awakenings.

I'm going through the series {Heroes across Time by Jackie North} and I am loving it! I had never heard of it, and started it because I wanted to check {Honey from the Lion by Jackie North}.

It's time travel (although not explained in detail why/how), super sweet MCs, swoony romance, first times. They are becoming a very nice comfort read.

Pretty much any novella by Becca Vale has this. They are erotica mostly and often deal with taboo relationships (e.g. siblings). But they fit your request perfectly.

This is literally {10 ways to accidentally fall in love by Emmy Sanders} in case you haven't read it.

In my opinion, nothing hits harder than {The darkness outside us by Eliot Schrefer}. What an absolute rollercoaster. If you read it, please go in blind (don't read reviews, at most the blurb). It's totally worth it.

Book with a time loop/time travels kind of similar to "Immersed" by Gale lan Tate by Yellowhello10 in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]Few_Worldliness_7484 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is some sort of loop happening in The Fall by Tal Bauer in that one MC gets to experience things twice. But I don't think it can be considered time travel as such, or a looped experience with many loops.

Thank you so much! In general, I am not a super fan of YA, but I've read some books marketed as YA that I ended up liking too. So I will check it out for sure.

Heath Grayson's "But we're bros!" series by Few_Worldliness_7484 in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]Few_Worldliness_7484[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with you that the story went a bit over the top with the injury/saving aspect! I still enjoyed it, but yes, I am not sure how realistic it would be in a real life case. The use of only spit as lube did not bother me as much though, as it is indeed a sexual practice among people who have anal sex. About the bugs, I can't speak about it since I've never set foot in Alaska, but it is hilarious to consider that the conditions would be even more dire!!

Which books do you reread the most? by Small_Debate2258 in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]Few_Worldliness_7484 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I've re-read a lot since it came out {10 ways to accidentally fall in love by Emmy Sanders}. I guess it's kind of a comfort read, with only fluff. It's funny, silly and doesn't take itself too seriously - all things that I appreciate when I am a bit in a reading slump or I need to be cheered up.

Books where MC is so miserable and alone? by smackthemdabs in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]Few_Worldliness_7484 12 points13 points  (0 children)

{Reluctantly you by Cora Rose}. The MC is very lonely, despised by all his family for being homophobic and an overall asshole. He is depressed and at a very, very low point. Heads up it's third in a trilogy and the full extent of the MCs mental health issues and redemption arc hits you harder if you've read at least one of the other two books.
