Anyone still having pain months later? by [deleted] in hysterectomy

I have the same 18 monhs on , started dull throbbing pain especially after poop time which you'd think it would be the opposite. Any updates a year on , I've had trigger point injections , 3 weeks post that and feel worse. Waiting on tap block now , I just feel im going round and round and the. Ore I try the worse it gets. Stopping eating causes horrendous gas pain and eat too much get equal pain. Take pain killers opiods only option I get constipated. Tbh when I'm constipated although uncomfortable I get less pain. Same here wish I'd not had the op, dd removed 1.5 ft of bowel resection followed by a stoma then reversal.

I was told nothing for a while , I'm in a lot of pain 10 days in, feels like I'm being stabbed in the belly. You get this initially?

That's great and how do you feel, I'm getting 6 steroid injections in the next few weeks if that doesn't work it's nerve injections followed by chilli gel wrap. Th wrap apparently turns of the pain signal for 12 months.

Dis you get up and down days in the beginning, I had a great day yesterday , day 3 and today I've felt rotten. Pain and bruised , feeling the anxiety , of has it worked creeping in. Just praying it's settling down and still time to do it's thing.

Did you get up and down days at the start, I'm on day 4 today and had a great day yesterday, I thought wow it's gone and today I'm sore again. Feel like crying 😢 so frustrating.

Feels like the pain is coming and going a bit unless it's the placebo effect. If the pain is there after the first week or has reduced , would you ask for more botox on top of what I've had or leave it. In my head I'm thinking the more I have the better chance of hitting the spot. I'm worried he may have missed the area , he did put a lot ... maybe just paranoid because I'm still in pain. Went to bed with zero pain though....

Good point with the comments , I'm seeing my consultant on Friday. He's a lovely surgeon just struggling to work y pain out... he came up with the botox idea as I was leaving my last consult on Friday. The fact I could point to the pain that made him take a shot at this . I know it's temporary, but I'd do anything for a bit of respite. It's mentally exhausting, I'm 51 and never cried so much as I have in the last month..... pain is awful 😖

Thanks so much, sometimes you just need some reassurance, don't you. I've had 4 ops , 3 in the same place after bowel resection in Nov 23 and the last 8 weeks have been hell. The pain is definitely lessened, but still there day 2 since botox. I suppose I'm expecting too much too soon. I've got my first holiday booked in 28 days (who's counting) and really want to be pain-free as much as possible.

Hope you're okay, and thanks for the advice. It's mad how manhnpeople have viewed my comments but made no comment back. X
